Yes, it is now time for me to shout out a HOWDY to all those fabulous Hubbers who have faithfully followed me over the months. I do this for two reasons: one, because I am very grateful and two, because this gives all of you a chance to meet some new people you may not be familiar with. It is a win-win situation for all concerned.

I have grown a bit jaded over the past months with Hubbers who I follow on a regular basis but who do not return the favor. It has always been my belief that in a community, which we have here at HubPages, the community members help each other, support each other and share with each other. I am fully aware of how busy everyone is; I work eight to ten hour days myself so I know the demands that can be put on you and there never seems to be enough hours in the day.

That being said, it is also my belief that if someone faithfully follows you then you have an obligation to faithfully follow them. It’s called reciprocity or just plain good manners. I have the feeling that in the near future I’m going to have to “trim the fat” so to speak and narrow my followers list down to those who actually know how to reciprocate, just as I did on Facebook a few months ago. I would rather have one-hundred followers who actually follow than six-hundred who are just a faceless number.

So I salute the following Hubbers who continually go above and beyond to give this old Hubber support and kind words. You are greatly appreciated as are all of you who I mentioned in earlier installments of this series. If I have left anyone out so far never fear; this is an ongoing series and I will get to you soon.

A JOLLY MAN FOR SURE

Rajan Jolly is his name and a nicer man you may never meet on HubPages. He always has a kind, supportive word to say about my Hubs and now it is my turn to turn attention towards him. Read the following http://rajanjolly.hubpages.com/hub/About-Allergies-Pollen-Allergy-And-Natural-Home-Remedies-To-Control-Them and then give him a follow. He has a great series on home remedies that I have found very helpful and full of wisdom.

What is it about Hubbers from India? I don’t know how many I have from there who are HubPages friends but they are all extremely nice people. After a day of fighting traffic with rude drivers all around it makes me want to move to India.

ANNIE, SWEET ANNIE

From Australia I give you fennelseed but to her friends she is known as Annie. This gentle, loving woman is a poet of the first class and a writer of equal merit and I am proud to call her my friend. Stop by for a chat and read http://fennelseed.hubpages.com/hub/Earth-MotherA-Poem-and-Photo-Essay. The words are beautiful, the photos majestic and they both reflect one of the kindest souls I have met on HubPages.

If you are in need of some inspiration or just want to surround yourself with beauty for a short time then spend a few minutes acquainting yourself with this very talented woman.

RANDOMLY CREATIVE

I had to look back through the first ten installments to make sure that I had, indeed, somehow forgotten this wonderful writer. Her name is Rose but on HubPages we know her as randomcreative. If you visit http://randomcreative.hubpages.com/hub/Recycle-What-To-Do-With-Wine-Corks-Crafts-Art-Projects-Ideas you will quickly realize that her Hub name is indicative of her talent and creativity. She has a whole package of artsy crafty ideas that are way beyond my abilities but for a normal person would be snap-your-fingers easy.

Do you know why I like Rose? It’s because she is always so upbeat and affirming in her comments. Obviously I have never met her but I sure would love to one of these days.

LOOK ONWARD

Okay, I’m getting much too clever for my own good. This lady comes from Nepal and her Hub name is Onlooker and she has spent the past couple months educating me about Nepal, even calling me once on the phone so we could speak as friends. Seriously, how cool is that? I got a phone call from Nepal!

Check out Ava’s site and read http://onlooker.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Your-Long-Distance-Relationship-Work or any of her other great hubs. For someone so young she is certainly wise and she is also a genuinely nice person.

BACK TO INDIA WE GO

I have become pen pals with this next Hubber. We send Facebook messages each and every day and learn more about our respective cultures and lives. Anyway, her name is Vidya and I am humbled by her caring and loving spirit. For some reason this lady only has 37 followers and I am hoping that once you read http://vidyamallar.hubpages.com/hub/Karma-or-Duty-An-Important-Human-Value her number of followers will increase greatly. She definitely deserves to be followed.

I will have to ask her how they say “dear friend” in her language so that I can write that in each message to her from now on.

BACK TO INDIA WE GO AGAIN

I told you I had a sizeable group of follower from India but you didn’t believe me, did you? This young man started following me about a month ago and I swear to you on a stack of Bibles that there may not be a more faithful and loyal follower on HubPages.

I will also tell you that this gentleman, and he truly is a gentle man, is one of the most talented young writers I have come across in a very long time. Take a look at http://rahul0324.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Move-Past-A-Broken-Childhood and I am pretty sure you will be as dazzled by his talent and depth as I am.

TILLSONTITAN

I don’t know so don’t ask me! I have no idea what her Hub name means but I do know that if I write a Hub she will be around to read it in short order. I also know her real name is Mary and she lives in New York. Check out http://tillsontitan.hubpages.com/hub/My-Moms-Better-Than-Your-Mom and you will immediately find out that this lady has a sense of humor. The photos in this hub are priceless!

Anyway, back to Mary! She has some pretty eclectic tastes and it would be hard to categorize her writing. Let’s let is suffice to say she is a very good writer who also happens to be a darn nice person.

UNTIL NEXT TIME

I love this series! I’m not saying that because I am enamored with my writing; I’m saying that because I am enamored with my followers. I have been a Hubber for five months now and I have friends from around the world. That is unbelievable to me! What is more unbelievable is that I only know these people from the internet and yet I feel close to them and honestly consider them good friends. When I was in first grade we had fountain pens and ink wells. Now I have friends from every continent (okay, not Antartica….yet) who I communicate with daily and who genuinely care about me as a human being.

That is, by the way, why I write. I love the connection between writer and reader, the bond that is formed through the use of a common language. Without the use of most of our senses we are able to form friendships. We are able to support one another and care about each other and that, to me, is a remarkable thing.

Thank you, one and all, and I look forward to many more years of Hub love.
