At what point did you start making a significant amount of money on Hubpages?
I'm talking at least $50. How many hubs did you have posted, what was your traffic like per day (if you paid attention to that), just any little details you can spare about when you first started making a decent amount.
Earnings vary based on a lot of factors, and unless you are going to completely copy what someone else has done and exactly how they write, comparing to other users isn't actually that useful.
It's better to chart your own progress and especially pay attention to the Hubs that you have which get the most traffic or make the most earnings. Those are your key indicators for what is working best for you.
Most users find it can take between 50-100 Hubs and 9-18 months to hit that first $50 payout.
Right. And I completely understand what you are saying.
I am just asking when everyone else made their $50 payout. I'm not copying anyone or going to compare myself to anyone. I'm just curious. Research more or less...
I would agree with relache. I have been here 6 months, published 40 Hubs, and had a delay getting an AdSense account. But, based on my early earnings, I would think I get to $50 after 9 to 12 months on HPs and after publishing about 50 to 60 Hubs.
It took me 3.5 months and about 70 some odd Hubs. The last month or so, since I've really been paying attention to traffic, I've gotten about 280-300 hits total on slow days. I just went over 500 hits in one day yesterday. Google is picking up on some of my Hubs now, and I think that's why my numbers are going up.
Relache is right, though. It does take about nine months of consistent work on average for a Hubber to make their first payout.
I think I made about $5 in my first six months I started in January though, so my first Christmas here made me a nice handful of cash.
My account says I have been here two years. Actually I signed up 2 years ago then left until March. I had no add programs going while I was gone. I am now, 5-6 months and 70 hubs later, getting a pay out. It does vary greatly for each person. About 15 of my hubs are targeted to VERY small audiences. If I would have written those 15 on something more google searched I may have reached a pay out at 4 months instead. I'm more curious about how long on average) it takes people to get from payout one to payout 2.
It was at 6 months with 35 hubs that I received my first pay out, which means just two months ago. I only publish 1-2 hubs a week, so reaching 50 will be a huge milestone for me! Learning more about SEO has helped my hubs rank on google. I didn't know anything about it when I started at HP, so it's only a coincidence that any of my older hubs have been successful.
My first 50$ payout was this year in April, after completing 2 years with around 30 hubs and next month, after 5 months I am expecting my second payout at the end of September. I am still struggling to learn the basics of SEO, but it's rewarding nevertheless.

I've seen a lot of people say no, but I've also seen people saying they are making money through HubPages. So which is it?

I'm new to HubPages, so give me a break if this is a terrible question. I nearly have 40 followers, and I have posted 15 hubs in 5-6 weeks. When do you start making the big bucks?

How long did it take before you started earning $50 to $100 a month on Hubpages?I try not to think all too much about the earning part on Hubpages since I'm still new here (4 months), but when you're earning literally NO money at all... It's still a bit discouraging.
