   we have a user who is making lot of money with less than 20 hubs..so numbers dont matter..what u right with right keywords do matter..yes to get properly crawled and get page rank takes its own time..

   It is not about visits although it is a big part of the process in earning the $$$. Research indicates quality content goes a long way versus quantity of hubs. Yes, keywords are important too, but we should remember to look at how fresh, interesting and exciting our hubs are. For example you could get 200 hits a day on one but how long did the average viewer stay there for? Why did they leave so soon? Why didn't they click on anything? Is the topic oversaturated on the internet? Many things to consider and many decisions to make. My point is everything is affected by everything on the web and peoples' habits are unpredictable. Experiment and you will do fine.

   Paul Edmondson (one of the Hubpages creators) estimates $2-$5 in adsense revenue per 1000 unique page views. This correlates well with my experience, but it also depends on what your keywords are and how much they are worth. The $$$$ signs relate to how profitable your main keywords are on that particular hub, but it doesn't really tell you anything helpful so I wouldn't worry about it. Better to check a keyphrase's earning  potential using google's keyword tool (you get about 65% of the amount shown.)

   In general more traffic = more money.
   
   Oh - and to really make money you need to make sales too, not just adsense income. The nice thing about sales is that in many niches it can really become significant even with little traffic.
   
   Back to adsense: With some keywords it does take less visitors to get the same amount, but they're generally also harder to get traffic for.
   
   The trick is, always, to find a topic you can make good content for - that is unique enough, yet enough people are looking for it too. The reason you need good content is that only with links can you get the really good traffic (depending on competition online, but still). And you cannot create all those links.
