My Google Adsence account is active. Should I place the adcode to hubpages. Where do I paste this code and how? Can anybody check my pages and tell me. Thanks.

You go to My Account, then to Earnings and then Settings--you configure your Adsense there--put in your Adsense ID where it tells you--you get your ID from your Adsense account--;you have to click on your email address in the upper right hand corner of your Adsense dashboard. The number should start out "pub-1233456568040"--something along those lines. I think some of them have a "ca" in the beginning.

Once you plug in your adsense id in the settings here, HP will place ads on your hubs. Personally, i like the HP Ad Program and also use it to earn.

Make sure you go into settings and turn off the HubPages ad program partnership. Until you do that, those ads are all that you will see on the page. Once you get your AdSense ID, you just need to hook it up in profile settings. You are not pasting code anywhere on your Hubs.

Just an anecdote, I generally make more money through the HubPages Partnership ads than AdSense. The HP also has a lower payout threshold. Others report similar findings, but you'll have to analyze your own Hubs.

The HP program ads can and will be shown in place of Adsense ads. Turning these off means only Adsense ads are shown. Most people like to go with one or the other.

As far as I know most people go with the Hubads option, so the question is why you are advising against that?

I do not think it is advisable to turn Hubpages add program off. Please do not get the hubber confused at this point. Going to the settings and link the Adsense id is enough.

I was merely answering the question on why she's not seeing Adsense ads. With HP program on, she will likely get only 1 Adsense ad at the bottom of her page. I said earlier that most people prefer the HP program. If she wants to run only Adsense for a while to compare the rates of the two programs, that's fine. Running both at the same time will increase the time it takes to get the payment threshold.

For the average user adsense and hubad ads are indistinguishable.

Thanks members, I have deactivated HP Ads to see how Adsense works for a week.. Adsense status shows active. the ca pub no- 123456----- is given. I was little confused as to after this, anything else has to be done. Because when I checked into my Google Adsense account, my pages view were zero and the earnings were big zero. HP Ads was earning in cents. Now with this deactivating HP Ads I will be able to check whether I have linked Adsense with HP properly or not.

With Hubads on you can see it is working because your Hubpads will be earning money which will show in your Hubpages earnings report--they only work with a valid Adsense account.

      Your options are

      1) Mainly Hubads, plus one Adsense ad.  IMHO most people earn more money with this especially when they have only a few hubs.
      2) Only Adsense ads.

I advice you to activate your Hubpages ads program back because it pays more than adsense.

You see ads view of zero in adsense because you have small number of hubs. When you publish more hubs with increased traffic, it will not be the same. So, earn from both by activating the two.

It stands for "in my humble opinion".
