The Linking Tool

   Just been editing a few of my Hubs.  When I tried to add a link by using the link button and then clicking on one of my own hubs, instead of it simply adding the link the page flashed up with 'this page does not exist'.  Tried it a few times on a few Hubs and had the same result every time.  Pretty sure the Hubs I am trying to link to are still there, so don't know why this is happening.

      homesteadbound just reported a similar problem, but I wasn't able to replicate this. If the problem is still persisting for you, would you mind sharing a couple of screenshots here?

   Have just had exactly the same problem, trying to edit on Chrome, click the link icon, select the hub I want to link to and it comes up with a 404, does not exist error.

   I've had the same or a similar problem.  In my case, the linking tool has inserted an extra "http://hubpages.com/" and later "hubtool/" (in the link URL).
   
   When I manually deleted those extra words, the box refused to save my results.  That is, I repeatedly clicked Insert, and nothing happened.  So I have just left the broken link as it is for now, and I will fix it when the Linking Tool is fixed.

   I had the same problem when I tried to create a link to one of my previous hubs in my new hub. I got a "404 That Page Doesn't Exist" error in Firefox.

   Same here Jason I had to link manually.. error 404 is what comes up when I use the linking tool.. Get em bugs..

   Yes, I am getting the same problem, so right now I am manually adding the link by copying the link from the actual title in 'My Account' rather than using the tool. It works fine when you do it this way.

   A bug fix should have gone out about an hour ago. Can everyone whose Hubs this bug affected check to see if the problem is gone?

    When I tried doing what I had done before, my problem persisted.  That is, I was trying to correct the URL of a link.  In Edit mode, I highlighted the phrase and clicked on the Link (to add or edit a link).  In the Link-Tool Box, I pasted the correct URL.  But when I clicked the Insert button, nothing happened.
    
    I was able to get around the problem by simply highlighting the phrase, breaking the original link (rather than editing it), highlighting the phrase a second time and then finally pasting the URL in the Link-Tool Box.  That time when I clicked Insert, it worked perfectly.
