What are the key reasons that people from large families refuse to accept studies & research
confirming the correlation between large families & negative outcomes such as lower IQs, impoverished/penurious conditions, constant struggle, parentified children, no self-esteem nor sense of self, substandard school performance, & not likely to complete their education? Why are they fearful of verified findings on large family life? Is it denial, knowing that such research & studies are telling....THE TRUTH? Is this denial the reason why they lash at others who specify such negative outcomes?
1. There are too many liberal studies designed or interpreted to say conservatives/religious are stupid/bad. And the social sciences that put out studies trying to say conservatives are inherently inferior are the most liberal.
Survey shocker: Liberal profs admit they’d discriminate against conservatives in hiring, advancement

2. Even the relatively unbiased studies, like those showing the correlation with conservatism and higher ability to be disgusted, are reported in ways that make conservatives look bad/stupid/irrational. When the study starts out with maybe conservatives rank lower on X scale, it gets reported as "conservative stereotype proven by science!" by a liberally biased media.

3. Poverty is not neglect, and not all poor people are bad parents. A whole host of welfare programs ensure no one is starving unless the parents are selling welfare benefits for money (see Appalachian use of soda as currency bought with SNAP benefits as one).
But there is a bad stereotype that poor equals stupid, ignoring those poor due to divorce, disability and essentially middle class who fell to that level.
And assuming that a child is neglected or abused because they don't get to go to Disney World or have five expensive extracurricular activities is an immoral inflation of the definition of good parenting. What those poor on money may have is more time and attention per child, and a stay at home mother with four children may invest more time and attention per child than a woman who puts the baby in daycare 50 hours a week.
They arent saying that a child is neglected or abused because they dont have activities or go to disneyworld, but its the principle. The parent isnt providing support in the things the child is interested in and developing their talent.
Thank you Versace. Parents of large families aren't providing for their children beyond the rudiments. That's par for the course in large families.
It's pure denial of course. It's further rationalization of a negative environment. Many in large families refuse to accept logical, conclusive, logical, & substantive analysis of their familial situation. They even acknowledge the negative, harsh circumstances growing up. However, instead of realizing that their family situation was wrong on its premise, they will staunchly proclaim how their harsh, difficult familial situation made them "better", even "superior" persons.
Even though they grew up severely impoverished, had poor food, went to bed hungry, had no medical care, had to parent & raise themselves/each other, & lived in the most abject, even primitive of conditions, they will explain such situations away. They simply refuse to see anything wrong in their particular circumstances. This is akin to a dope addict explaining, even seeing the positive in using drugs.
There is an inverse logic in the large family environment where good is evil & evil is good. In large families, poverty, struggle, & doing without, even the basics are viewed as normative, even beneficial. Those in large families think that it is quite normal, even positive for them to have inferior quality food, wear cast off clothing, constantly having to do without even the basic necessities, & experiencing neglect. To them, these negative things are well ...........okay. A very stark lack of socioeconomic struggle is so basic to those in large families that they refuse to see the aberrant dysfunction, even pathology of such a lifestyle. What they refuse to see & consider to be positive, others more astute see the large family situation as very negative to the point of detrimental as obvious when one observes & studies the behavior of children in large families such as delinquency, low academic achievement, low educational attainment, & other negative behaviors.

Aren't we all selfish. We are born to experience life as an individual. In the end you will only have you and your experiences. I try to be selfish with good intent to not hurt others. If i'm not doing it for me than someone else is using their selfishness. So isn't it...
