Let's face it... if you are relying on the major news stations and newspapers to fill you in on everything that is happening in the world, then you are going to be limiting your world view to only those things that meet the paid advertiser's discretion.
Case in point, the Occupy Wall Street Movement was raging for over a couple of weeks with over 700 people arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge on a weekend day, but yet-- they did not receive the news coverage of this event.
How can you even call yourself a major national news station, if you do not have the guts to cover an event like that? Chicken... bok bok? Or-- are you completely BOUGHT by your paid advertisers where you have no scruples?
One of the best examples of how far off the mark national news stations are... is in delving into the events of 9/11 vs the official story that was reported to the public on this event.
Here's my article on the many questionable details of the official story of 9/11--
Another example of this is the FOX News story where 2 reporters were fired rather than bringing the truth to light over the bovine growth hormone and Monsanto. Here this story is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZkDikRLQrw
Thanks heavens, there is a new breed of journalism that is springing up from blogging.
There is a new sense of spreading awareness and truth which goes far beyond what the national news services are sharing with the public.
