Meat is used for cooking and can be derived from animals such as goat, sheep, pigs, cows, carabaos and seafoods meat like those of fishes. it is a good source of protein and fats which are essential to the body in just the right amount. Meat or meat products can be also the organs of animals such as the liver, skin, brain, bone marrows, kidneys.

Meat is palatable and is consumed by almost all over the world except for some social and religious concerns like in Moslem religion, they don't partake pork.

Meat is used as cooking ingredients in different culture although in most western countries it is used for grilling, steak and stew.

Meat is part of daily meal and when cooked as an ingredients make the food flavorful and tastier.

The meat of adult mammals such as sheep, goats, horses, are called red meat while those of poultry and turkey are white meat.
