Has anyone ever heard of wikinut? It's a revenue sharing site for online articles. I got an email from them. How did they come to email me? Who are they and what do they want. Anyone have any experience with them? Is this a possible place to post links to our HubPages?

Hello I am a member of wikinut and most likely one of our members invited you to write articles, share and earn royalties.

    Hey Dolores,

First let me pay tribute to your 100 authorscore. WTG!

On the topic, I haven't heard of them, so I have no information for you, but I too would like to see what others say about it. wink

Just had a quick look - seems you write an article, and they give you 50% of the adsense.  But it doesn't look like you enter your own Adsense ID like Hubpages, they pay you royalties

Thank you, Cagsil! Also have well over 100,000 views! Happy at HP but still wondering about wikinut. And what's the royalties business? I would read more on the actual site, but, I really like to hear what other people have to say.

There are lots of revenue-sharing article sites. I can't say I've ever come across this one, which suggests they're still fairly small, so you'd be sharing in a fairly small revenue pot!

It looks as though it operates more like Helium than HubPages.  I wrote a Hub on Helium which is probably relevant.

The things I don't like about Wikinut are:

      - once you've posted an article to the site, it looks like you can't remove it.  You can post or sell it elsewhere, but they have a perpetual right to keep it on the site and to use it in any publications they see fit.

      - you're reliant on them for payment, so there's always the worry - are they telling the truth about the earnings?

I’ve been using Wikinut for a couple of months, basically posting content on their which I have posted elsewhere in an experiment to see if it’s any benefit. It’s not the greatest site and does seem to be in its infancy, they all have to start somewhere, but the links are dofollow which will help if the site does become established.

The actual earnings appear to work more on page views than anything else and boils down to the more people who just visit your page the more you potentially earn. It doesn’t appear that click throughs on ads has any relevance.

As for traffic generation, well so far my experience is that it’s not the best. But for now I will persevere posting the occasional article on it and promoting it.
