So, do you think we should be emailed when we get a reply on comments?

   I post alot of comments and all i know to find out what was said by that hubber in response, if they do respond, is to go to Comments I made and check.
   
   Wouldn't it be quicker if we got an email?

      We already wade through so many emails they might get lost in the melee. I too check the comments as you do and it really doesn't take that long.

      I'd DEFINITELY prefer having some notification if someone answeres to anything I wrote, be it in the forums or in the comments section! I find it extremely tiresome to somehow try to go back through my activities, keeping track of where I participated.

         Reading other people's hubs is a different story--we always go searching for articles we like to read. But finding out about what we said etc is good

         me too = it would be nice to get maybe a daily notice, similar to our favorite hubbers hubs list  that lists the replies, although I don't know how easy it would be to do that - I certainly don't want to hear about every Tom Dick and Judy who comments where I commented the way its done on Facebook.

      It would be more appropriate in the "suggest a new feature" forum.
      
      I will say what I said before - it should be optional. There should be the option to tick a box to be notified of future comments, the same as on a blog.

      yes, I agree, and we all should acknowledge a comment from a reader, it is proper. They took the time to answer, so pro or con, we should. so yes, send the email so we know we have a comment.
      
      like was said above, we can opt out if we wish.

   You can use your feed to keep track of hubs you've commented on. Have a look at your feed settings and adjust accordingly. You can also *star* elements in your feed, such as comments you made, so that you can find them more easily.

         Go to your feed. Look to the right of the screen and where it says "Filter by type" click edit. In the comments section make sure the boxes "you made" and "on hubs you commented on" are checked. Click save. Then when you go back to your feed later on, click on the "comments" option. This will show the comments you made and any further comments on the hubs that you commented on.

   If you go into your profile, and select 'edit' you can choose how to be notified of a number of things.  Your choice.
   
   If you choose not to be notified by email, you can have a look through your Hubtivity after you sign in.  That'll show you any new comments and posts on anything you've been following.

   use the star in the feed section, under every feed you will see share, like, report, star... click the star to keep track of the hubs, forum,..... you commented. visit the feed often and click the starred button in right hand side menu in show section lying in the bottom of thr menu list.

   Would you like an easy way to track your comment posting?
   
   Use your profile and the Hubtivity listed on your profile. It logs every comment you post on any hub, regardless of where you went.
   
   You can always click on "see more" and it will list everything you've done.
   
   Just a thought.

         Hello, and the challenge is a challenge. It's going very slowly, because I am fighting with myself about the type of writing I have to do, to make it. I am trying to stay away from my celebrity type hubs, because those are too simple to do and not very creative.

   No disrespect, but what worries me is who is the comment really meant for then?  I don't usually go back to comments, and am behind in responding to my own, that is way worse.
   
   But the  importance of the reply, now sound as if it is why, people left the comment to begin with?
   
   The focus and primary objective should be reading a hub and commenting if you feel you want to.  If that hubber [and many don't] doesn't respond, your objective was still met, you left your comment.
   
   Is it true that you would not revisit that writer if you got no response?
   
   I swear I am trying to make sense, really    Tired

      seems like unnecessary work for HP if so many would opt out anyway. that's why HP has the function where we can check our comments.  most of the time I don't check, but sometimes I do.  I don't see it as something that is truly necessary.

         but there's lots on here that's not yet still has buttons or whatever.
         
         You see, I never knew I could check. One day I discoved it
         and realized I had 100 or so that I'd never seen
         and I LOVED some of those replies! --that I'd never known about.
         
         Well, If this is the PLACE for hubpages to view our thoughts and for them to make a decision, I guess I've made my point.
