Ive had a go at another hub, i spent more time thinking about keywords, but i'm not sure if its come off okay.
Let me know?

assuming you are using "goth" and "vamp" as your keywords.
Don't use a single word - its too hard - its too general - I might type in vamp because I want info on a style of dress, makeup, a sub-culture.
Try for longer phrases "how to do vamp makeup" "vamp or goth - what's the difference" "vamp makeup for the school ball"
Then make sure you repeat them in your text capsule titles as well as the hub title.
hope this helps
Apart from the advice given by Lissie I would suggest you to go for some proper tags. Like for example for your hub, "how to get the 'goth' 'vamp' makeup look" I see you have not given proper tags and also they are too few in number.
Give at least 15 tags. This will increase your hub coming up in search results.
And as Lissie said "Try for longer phrases" and use them in the Hub and mark it in bold or strong. When you add tags to your hub think the way in which a user who is searching for such article will think and will use the key word. For example use tags such as "How to look sexy", "how to get a vamp look" etc . Depending on your content, think about the various ways in which a user will think while searching an article and then add them as a tag.
Use tags properly as it is a tool for making your hub come up in search result.
Absolutly invaluable input! Thank you ever so much. I had not given adequate thought before to the 'tags' I had the impression they were 'one word' descriptions like "advice" - I didn't realise i could use a small sentence as you suggested, like " How to look sexy" I see that this is much more informative, and is the kind of thing that might be typed into google / or another search engine.
So, the general consensus is that whatever keywords i use in my title and in my tags should also feature in the body of my hub, or perhaps more importantly in the 'subheadings'?
Thankyou packerpack and Lissie for the wonderful advice, i appreciate you taking the time to look at my hub and reply :-)
xx
riotgrrrl, you can try Good Keywords, Keyword pad and Keyword explorer too. I do, and they're completely free.
Using single words doesn't always work, but sentences of a few words might.
Thanks for the appreciation riotgrrrl. Do let me know if you need further advice ...... I would just love to help .....

I've been on here for 9 months and followed all the advice from the learning centre, forums and hubs from the best hubbers. I earned the first $24.00 in the first month and I'm only $1.00 ahead for the next eight. What am I doing wrong? All help will be greatfully received.

Recently, I found that after i updated one hub, the views of this hub and the hub score had a little gone up. Is there a relation between hub updates and hub score & views? Frequently update hub is ok? Which is better, daily updates or weekly updates? Thank you in advance! ^-^

I know that this is the most asked question here, but I'd still really appreciate it if anybody answered.I've been on Hubpages for about 6 months now, and I've just published my 7th Hub, and I'm starting to write a few more. As of right now, I have 239 total views, and each Hub has roughly 36...

Do you get more traffic per day, the more hubs you have? Or do I need better quality hubs?

I thought I knew the answer to this question. But something interesting happened in the last week which I found it hard to explain. I'd be interested to hear opinions.I have a hub which is nine months old and had just reached 250-300 hits per day.I was experimenting to see how many tags I could use...
