      It is likely that different Christians hold many views, rather than only one fixed view, about Hallowe'en.
      
      The word "Hallowe'en" derives from "All Hallows Eve" - hence the use of punctuation within that word.  All Hallows Eve refers to the night prior to All Hallows Day, arguably an invention of the 16th century when the Christian church did its utmost to impose its own invented festivals over pre-existing ones.

      Most Christians will dress up their kids, decorate their houses and sometimes don a costume themselves, and enjoy Halloween, despite their religious beliefs.

      Hi sybleschitoskey, good question but a loaded one as well.
      
      The majority of Evangelical Christians believe that Halloween is pagan in its origin and therefore choose not to celebrate.
      
      However, just as any holiday celebration, Christians vary in their their participation of Halloween.
      
      Some Christians choose to believe that everyday is the Lord's day and therefore will take out any form of its "pagan" origin and celebrate 10/31as a time in fall to thank God for His bounty,  (aka Harvest Time and is much more akin to the Jewish festival of booths in which God's providential care of His people is the focus). The activities in this Harvest Celebration are in no way similar to the activities in Halloween.
      
      Then there is another group, which by the way is a very limited group,  that believe that there is no harm in celebrating Halloween.
      
      So, as with all things pertaining to issues of faith that are not specifically addressed in the Word, it is a personal conviction of right and wrong. 
      
      With that said, may I just conclude by saying that in all things, Christians have a mandate not to do anything that will cause another brother to fall.
      
      So lets say one believer doesn't think its wrong to go out, but another believer is struggling with the idea of it being right or wrong. The believer who doesn't see anything wrong in joining in the celebration should be willing to refrain from participating in order that the brother that is weak in his/her conviction will not to fall into temptaion.
      
      In other words the believers mandate is to walk in selfless love. Understanding that one's actions can either bless or curse (harm) another person and as such must make choices based and founded on love because we are all our brothers keeper.
      
      Again,I just want to say it is a great question but one that is loaded. Thank you for posting it and I hope my answer was somewhat helpful in understanding the Christian communitys' thoughts on Halloween.

                  Same applies to id-ul-fitra, valentine and many festivals out there. Who said one should only waste time in festival if it is related to christ or YAMAHA ?

   Halloween has nothing to do with faith.  To me it is simply a day for the little kids to dress up and have some fun.

   Halloween is my best friend's birthday and I don't know about what other Christians will or won't do, but all the Christians, Jews, Pagans, gays, energy people, etc. that I've invited to her surprise birthday party are going to party like it's 1999 all night long.
