How many actual hubbers are there?

   I am truly interested in learning how many hubbers there are on the Hub Pages. And, more than that, how does one ever possibly get around to reading all of the material? Hours in the day run out before I get around to even a fraction of what I want to read and respond to. Do any of you have a simplified method of sorts that can make it easier and feasible?  I would so appreciate suggestions. Best to all of you until I get to know you better. Also, when someone postsa question  here, do we stay tuned in until the replies are answered or what? I am (aqua) clueless, remember?

      I don't think anyone ever reads all of it. it would be a 24/7 job. Do what you can, and keep returning to hubtivity or to the various functions of your account page and your profile page where you can check  things like comments you have made ( to see if there are replies). or check forums for comments you have made.

   Paula if you go to the bottom left of the 'Forum: The Hubber's Hangout' page it tells you how many hubbers there are registered, how many are on line, on the right it tells you how many hubs and how many topics. Welcome to hubpages.

   Thank you so much.  I have no excuse for not knowing these things except I haven't spent enough time investigating the possibilities of the hub page mechanics. Y'all seem to be so personable and helpful. That means alot to folks who are stumbling around in the dark like me. But, it's good to know that when a question arises there is someone who cares enough to respond. Again, I appreciate your kind direction and guidance.

   What an unusual name. I like it.  Where did it come from?  I love unusual names. My grandmother's name was Lizzelle. thanks for the info., too. I appreciate all the help I can get.

      Not extremely unusual-- My mom wanted to call me Shelly, and thought that sounded like a nickname, so she gave me a 'real' name.  I was never called Shelly-- our neighbor couldn't get that right and always said "Shella", which stuck. In school, however I was always Rochelle. Most family still says "Shella, Almost everyone else says Rochelle. I am both. More than you or anyone really wanted to know...
      Oh for the source, there was an old movie star named Rochelle Hudson (where my mom heard the name).
      Then of course there is new Rochelle, La Rochelle and Rochelle Salts (a laxative). My grandfather thought Rochelle Leota-- sounded like "cows oats". and some of my high school friends insisted on calling me "Roach"-- which I pretended to be indifferent to.
      Sorry this wasn't intended to be a hub.

      Rochelle doesn't seem odd to British people my age. We all suffered from a series of French textbooks called "Tricolore", set in La Rochelle, with Jean-Paul and Marie-Claire trotting off to the disco, library, swimming pool, etc.

   So, that's how you do it?  Incidentally, I love the letter Z. My oldest daughter's middle name is Lizzelle for my grandmother and my youngest daughter's middle name is Suzzanne. (2 z's) I also have 4 boys. {6 children, 11 grandchildren} How about y'all? It's so easy talking to y'all. It feels really good in here.  I'm glad I came.

   I DID want to know that.  Your wonderful sense of humor came through loud and clear. Yeah.  thanks. I'm glad you added the, "this wasn't supposed to be another hub"' line because I was also wondering: in replying to posts, is it alright to add other things, 'off subject'; like we just  did or is it strictly by the topic agenda? { I know this seems "out there" to inquire about} but how else will I learn?

      Use you own 'indiscretion'-- that's what most of us do. 
      Seriously-- read a lot and find your own way of fitting in.
      Hubber's Hangout is generally open to all subjects-- the other forums try to stay more topic specific.

    'Wow'. All the way across the Atlanticc or Pacific, Which is it? {I never was good in Geography}I know it's a long long way, though. And, I've been  told it rains alot. True? So Rochelle is a familiar name over there?  I must say, that is an interesting fact , too.Nice to meet you. You're the first British person I've ever met.

    Over a half a million. Imagine that! That's alot of folks writing. That's wonderful. Thanks for letting me know the specific number. Gosh. to be part of a community so large and varied. I'm thrilled to be exposed to so much energy, personalities, knowledge, humor and wit.
