Well, as close as we are likely to get anyway:

Meet Tikaani, a Finnish Lapphund who will be on his way to a new home in Virginia tomorrow.

Congrats, PQ! I have four grandpups - a Great Dane, a poodle, a lab, and a GA bulldog. That's a beautiful pup you have!

Well, we don't have it. We can't go near it, in fact, as his dander would send my wife into a massive allergic reaction.

But he is cute, and we can enjoy him digitally smile

Well, that's better than nothing! AND...you won't have to clean up any puppy poop or puddles. lol

They just got home .When they picked up the aunt from where she had been staying, she was very excited to jump in the car. Then she saw Tikaani and backed right out again wink

He thinks she is great (she is his mom's twin), but she is trying to ignore him. Wait til they actually get home and he meets the cats smile

Oh my goodness is he CUTE!
Hard to believe anyone could have an issue with such a sweet looking puppy. But if any of the resident cats are male -- watch out. Alpha animals can be decidedly territorial... but after the firewords die down, I'm sure everyone will welcome him with open paws.
    Congrats on your new grandbaby!

What kind of dog is a Finnish Lapphund?  Hunting?  I think this calls for a Hub for a formal celebration!

Love animals - especially dogs and this one is precious!  You are a proud Papa and rightfully so!

      It's a type of Spitz: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_Lapphund

My daughter tells me that the white ones are somewhat unusual.  This little critter cost her $1,000.00 - I don't know what she paid for his aunt.

They are nice dogs.  The aunt has been through obedience training - I forget exactly what they call it but it has something to do with using her in nursing homes - I forget.  She doesn't actually do whatever it was they had her trained for, so I'm a bit confused as to why they went through all that trouble, but I know she passed all her tests smile

I'm much more of a cat person, and my poor wife is wildly allergic to almost everything, so we can only see pictures.  But yes, the little guy is cute.

Thanks for the early morning smile - what an adorable puppy!

I think the term for a dog that visits nursing homes is a "therapy dog," though I could be wrong. Our speech therapist has a trained dog that she (occasionally) brings to Nolan's therapy sessions. It is really amazing how much a dog can prompt a child to speak - Nolan will tell Shakespeare to "sit" or "say mama" (the dog can bark out a few words).

        Congratulations on the sweet grandpuppy!

Yes, yes, that was it.  Therapy dog.  She's certified for that (though I still don't know why).

Most therapeutic dogs will have first passed the Canine Good Citizen test.  That's a basic certification that is a marvelous goal for any dog that is a house pet.

By the way, neither of my two dogs could pass the Canine Good Citizen test today.  Although the poodle could potentially do it, with a little more work.  smile  As you can see from my avatar, she is a pushy lap dog.

He looks so much like you!  Only the hair is different.  But something around the eyes . . .!

I'm sending down a pack of food safe dyes today.  There is no reason at all why he cannot look even more like me.

Last picture, just because I love it:

    Best caption?

    "They'll feed us?  Really? When?"

"I like the woman - do you?"

"Why won't the cats play with me?"

"What is the tall one saying - I can't understand her!"

"So when do we get to go out?"

"You look a lot like my Mom"

    Your contributions welcome smile
