Did I imagine this or is this for real:
A new Hub Contest: "So You Think You Can Write..."
    Oh De Lally

    James.

I highly recommend you set that to music and write a hub about it. Should be a winner.
      wink

I highly recommend that you help him. Turn up the color and get it on Broadway. Great show name ... *insert famous cabaret name* stars in Oh De Lally big_smile

That means I have to go back to work?!

I thought this was James' problem not mine! wink

Sounds like a plan! Gives us plenty of time to get things together and write some really awesome articles. It's a go!

I don't think James is promoting it girls, rather I think he's feeling *meh* about it.

      fd,
      Wish I was promoting it!
      Unfortunately StumbleUpon beat me to it. {{ wink wink }}
But if I'm correct, the topic is open, so long as it meets the guidelines. Which sounds like a ton of fun.

      James.

I thought this thread was another of those never ending "post a poem" threads or something. So here's a poem,

Today the man comes out to play
    whenever I hit the hay
Why doesn't he come when I call
Instead of going out to play ball?

Is it true that many couples do
have a necessary "mood" to fulfill?
    What happened to
    I'll do you I will
    whenever you ask me to?

I don't think I am an amazing writer in terms of grammar but I think I am quite good at explaining things and describing things metaphorically. I've been told by friends that they were shocked at my vocabulary and they didn't know I was that intelligent(probably because I'm quiet)

I was just thinking that no matter how many hubs I write I can never quench that thirst to achieve more!

Writing is exciting, but after me being here several months and not earning an income like many do, it's a (little) discouraging. But that's why I have another acct where I strictly write for fun such as poetry.
As to why I'm not making money...well maybe I'm not crazy about working at adsense but to be a good writer, as you say, I believe just the practice of writing here on HP is a start for a writing career, don't you think?

I think that is fine. I joined this site to improve my writing and it has, earning money is just a nice bonus.

Digging deep into the chasm of my brain now to try and find an original, unique article that relates to writing online that doesn't exist anywhere else on the Internet.

Gee, that should be easy, not.

For the record, the contest has no topic - entries on any subject will be accepted big_smile
We're just looking for the best online article... on anything!

If I am understanding this right from the blog >>

    http://blog.hubpages.com/2011/03/writing-contest/

then we can post on any topic not just online writing as long as it focuses on quality, seo, long tail keywords, etc. and has the tag writingcontest in it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong!
