I have published my first hub page. How to I get it out there for others to find and read?

They key to this site is to drive traffic to your pages through Google Search, this means that you need to target certain keywords. Also if your hub is content rich, it is always good to go link it at high traffic websites.

There is a lot to learn. My best advice is to make a bunch of hubs and see what works. You should not expect much income for 1 hub published with no backlinks. You will have a lot of sad days looking at adsense, but the more hubs that are made and the more niches you find, the happier you will be. My advice is to learn as much as you can.

Thanks for the advice. I have not even gotten approval yet from adsense, so I am waiting for that. How do you figure out the keywords that you need to use?

You can Google the term KEYWORD TOOL and follow the thread that takes you to the search area. If you want to write on a certain topic like "Drag Racing" type drag racing into the rectangle. The tool will ask you to confirm your request by typing a phrase so they know you are a human.

The list that comes up will tell you how many searches are requested on those words or phrases. Pick the ones that have a lot of requests (like thousands of global searches per month-GPMs).

For example, the drag racing resulted in 301,000 GPMs and the term Race Cars over 1,000,000.

Hope this helps you. I'm no expert by any means but this might give you a start.

The best way I can describe it is. Imagine exactly what you would have to type in search in order to find your webpage.

So for instance, your hub is about saving money, or something along those lines. Your title does you no justice in google search, and people will not know what your hub is about.

so for instance you have used some of the keywords that you want in your hub, I'm sure of it. I haven't checked how good this keyword actually is, but you would want keywords something along the lines of, "ways to save money" "saving money with groupons" or even ones more creative "how to be thrifty." I'm sure there are better ones out there, those are examples. I haven't really read your page as a whole, so other things may fit better.

My suggestion is to make a variety of hubs and see what works. Always do what you like and don't be shy or embarassed. If it stinks no one will read it, and thats it wink I have a couple that have been read but 15 times over a 6 month period.

At the bottom of your published hub, click on "Share". It gives you several places to start.
