On your profile the first four people who leave you fanmail remain permanently fixed there. Shouldn't it be more like commenting on myspace where the last people to leave a comment appear at the top? I've nothing against the first four people who left me fanmail; it was very nice of them but it would be a far more 'up to date' way of doing things if the last person who gives you fanmail appears at the top.
I think there are reasons for that, like rewarding people who discovered a new writer. I personally like it the way it is, especially if you mention myspace as something to emulate.
Forget the myspace thing and just take the idea as it is without the comparison. Isn't there the problem that people can abuse the system by leaving new writers fanmail just for the sake of getting into their top four for more exposure?
So, to get the things straight, you want any random spammer to get a link from my PR4 profile just by leaving me a fanmail? I would expect an explosion in my fan numbers
As for the problem you mentioned - I think system can deal with it. Just look at robertkellher or ltsb whatever his name exactly is
I think it should be randomized. Since fanmail is what's listed first, you can delete fanmail of spammers who like to say "good hubs," "hi," "you look nice," or wahtever. But, in this case the problem lies in randomizing only fans who leave fanmail and not randomizing the others; not sure how complicated that would be to code.
I second this. I don't think randomizing would be a bad idea. Although I still don't get the fan mail thing. I wish there was just a way to reply to fan mail...
HubPages doesn't work this way, at least I haven't seen it. When you click on Hubbers it lists by HubScore, not name.
is this true ,
then what is the mean of such threads on this topics,
if you are writing true ,then i will definitly check it.
No it means because my name begins with a B then my name is usually seen on someones profile. Naturally being a crafty bugger I use this to my advantage, shameful I know. Nice to see you going well Shreekrishna !
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
what i say ,
either you were lucky,
that you use such username , & will lead to this.
did it ever came in you mind that your name become so popular ,
your company is verry good,
but you were bad ,
if owner is bad then it is the one reason for badcompany ,
& it never goes up from 99.
pls send me mail if your hubscore hit 100 ever.
wish you a nice journey.
BC, it's not alphabetical. Look at my profile. The first fan (who left fan mail) is an "r", then a "c", another "c", then an "s".
