Thank God we don't have to make any decisions on our own. Lord knows we're helpless.
You're obviously right - we are helpless to make any decisions on living our lives without Big Brother.
What I don't understand, though, is how we can be so helpless and yet be required to actually perform needed work to get money to give Big Brother so he can ban more things we want but shouldn't have for our own good.
If I'm stupid enough to actually (gasp) buy a soda from a vending machine or too stupid to pump my own gas surely I'm too stupid to do any meaningful work without hurting myself or someone else!
Tell me Big Brother ain't taken over? Okay, Big Brother ain't(your word) taken over.
You said say it, so I did.
You ain't see all yet!! Anything yellow is illegal and you will be arrested!!
John Malott, the former US ambassador to Malaysia, also commented here: http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/index … p;Itemid=2
Just a short explanation here: The Malaysian Government has outlawed an impending rally scheduled for July 9 . The rally is about the call for a clean and transparent election system. Now the government is using scare and threat tactics to prevent the rally from taking place. Yellow t-shirts are the symbols of protest.
Found this just today: A new Tennessee law makes it a crime to “transmit or display an image” online that is likely to “frighten, intimidate or cause emotional distress” to someone who sees it. Violations can get you almost a year in jail time or up to $2500 in fines. Covers just about everything I do believe.
Tobey100's list is missing stuff like - Must be 18 to vote and smoke, 21 to drink, etc. etc. So what is the reason for these laws? Or do you just like taking up forum space with nonsense?
Also Tobey100 failed to complete what the law actually said. For instance "Washington has banned swimming with out a life vest". It's actually "River-Swimming Without Life Vest Now Illegal Near Seattle" Rivers in the area are pretty rough. I should know becasue I live near by. "Individuals are banned from pumping their own gas in New Jersey and Oregon" These are old laws like "It's also illegal to shoot buffalo out of a 2nd story window in North Dakota." New Jersey passed this law in 1949 and Oregon in 1951. The purpose of these laws was to protect consumers and gas station owners from costly, and possibly deadly, accidents. Better education and improved technology, however, have made pumping gas much safer and easier for consumers over the last 50 years. Next time complete the headline instead of spelling out a portion of it.
For those who have actually noticed all the idiocy of government, I highly recommend a book.
However, it's very *gasp* Libertarian friendly
"Libertarianism Today" -- it outlines a strong viewpoint against this kind of "IT'S ILLEGAL TO DO WHAT YOU WANT".
I highly recommend checking it out, even if you're a crazy socialist - test your mettle against it.

Say we no longer have the right to bare arms. The government is doing a sweep collecting all registered firearms. Would you allow your right to go down the river or would you stand up to the regime and refuse? Either way give me some opinions please be honest.

Now they are proposing that our ever so efficient politicians and other government agencies should be able to snoop into who we are contacting at any time, by recording all our emails, Skype conversations and social network messaging on a database.1) Total hypocrisy as both the Tories and Lib Dems...
