Question - What do you do when

   What do you do when you need something ASAP, but you don't have it ?I'm talking about stuff like an aspirin pill or an umbrella, what do you do when you need them real bad, but don't have them at home right now: do you give up and try to survive without them, or do you go out and buy them.
   
   Have you ever needed anything and wanted someone to deliver it straight into your apartment (and were willing to pay for it)

      The best thing to do is to have someone around that can help you. It could be a neighbor or someone who lives with you. Of course, you can only call them in the middle of the night if you are in excruciating pain. If you are able to drive then you go get your medication yourself. I've never had the pharmacy deliver it to my house.

      I'd normally just ask for friends to help to deliver them to me if it's possible.  It depends on how badly I need the things.  Everyone's got a price so if you bribe them with what they want, they'll usually succumb to your needs.

      Around 15 years ago I had an attack of excruciating muscle spasms. I called the mom-and pop grocery store that I normally frequented. I had a bottle of Advil delivered in 10 minutes. You never know who your friends are.

   I've never found that there is anything so completely essential to me that I cannot wait until next day, week, month or year to obtain it when I can conveniently do so.

   If I need a painkiller and have none, I try to find alternate means of easing my pain.
   
   If I need an umbrella because its raining, I either don't go out or find something to cover myself with.
   
   What I try to do is make sure emergency supplies including an umbrella are always at hand, it not then I try to find alternate means of survival.

   just wondering. I heard there's a company that sends people to stand instead of you in a line in the post office or in the bank, so I just wanted to know if there are other weird companies like that.

   I occasionally use pea pod and takeout taxi which operate on a similar idea. They work well because you can do it all online and they are quite cheap.

   I always thought the local pizza chain should have teamed up with blockbuster and rented a movie for you and then picked it up on the way to your house with the pizza. I thought that would be a good business idea.
