Some places like Jaspers, Friday's, Cheese Cake Factory, and Apple Bees. Also If you like Louisiana Creole Style Food I Suggest Red Hot and Blue For a good change and the prices are great plus the food is always hot!

Nah, I went alone. That way the flies could just concentrate on me. You've correctly guessed the big box store. Can you guess the eats place?

In all fairness, I'm more inclined to blame the location of the stores than the stores themselves. Seems like a lot of the national chain stores in this particular location are of lesser quality than what I've seen everywhere else. And, no, I will not name this particular location. I'll save that for when I'm perturbed about something. big_smile

I don't date anymore-- my husband frowns on it.
Our favorite place to eat is two miles down the road-- a cozy independent cafe with a great cook and one waitress.
We live in the woods, so the next closest places are 18 to 25 miles away.
If we have to go to an actual city like for serious shopping  or a specialist appointment-- we try for one of their special places for lunch-- or maybe Red Lobster.

It has to be Rain Forest in Navi Mumbai about 20 minutes drive from where I live. Closer home there is an open terrace resto- Barsaati that serves yummy punjabi cuisines.

The only time I ever eat out these days is when I go to rural areas to fish and stay in a local hotel. I love experiencing the different local seafood dishes that are prepared. When I did eat out closer to wherever I was living at the time, I would only do so if they offered something different. Same with travelling overseas: I wanted to eat what the locals were eating, not the vile **** made to cater to tourists. I honestly believe that food is one of life's greatest adventures and that every effort should be made to explore and taste all that we can, while we can. We may not always like it - but that chance taken is part of the thrill... smile

My favorite place to eat authentic Greek gyros and slovaki is a place on the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, FL. It's called Limani's. It's outside, so you sit and watch the activity at the sponge docks and enjoy the Anclote River while you eat some of the best food in Tarpon.

I also love our local Bonefish, food is great, drinks are amazing.

My husband and I like to go mainly to locally owned restaurants to eat, so there aren't many fellow hubbers who'd recognize the names I list. The main exceptions are the Olive Garden (he worked there in college and still loves the food) and Panera.
