Why dont victims of racism just suck it up??

   Leading figures in the world of soccer on Thursday blasted FIFA president Sepp Blatter for controversial remarks he made on racism in an interview with CNN World Sport.
   
   The head of world football told Pedro Pinto there is no on-field racism in football and that any player who has been abused should simply shake hands with his opponent at the end of the match and move on.

      While I don't agree with this 'stupid' statement - the problem is they are only focusing on one form of injustice in the sport.
      
      In a prior World Cup there was a famous incident where one player head-butted another after he said something nasty about his mother - any form of abuse, be it racial, sexist etc needs to be stamped out of soccer.

         Perhaps we can't suck it up because we are conditioned to kick uno what when racism comes at us. Ditto for moms. Evil In-laws are indeed fair game.

         I already don't watch soccer.
         I have, however, watched racism claims become a dime a dozen, while the social and economical consequences are astronomical.

      One of many reasons not to watch soccer.
      
      I look at this way. Any sport that has a rule that you can't touch the ball with your hands but you can hit with your head is a stupid sport to me.

      I think you're right.  Contact sports have typically been the domain of men.  Who are the general aggressers in the world?  Men.  Who are the rough housers as children?  Boys.  Who starts wars?  Men.  So the inherent competitive nature has no outlet in this society hence the need to play dirty, rough, hard, whatever.  The game can be played well without all the 'psycho-threats' and intimidation. 
      
      Of course another man would say 'suck it up', man up', and whatever.  Most people can't move past their base instincts or their mob mentality.

         Being a father of two boys and three girls means I have seen the boys beat the crap out of each other and girls be vintictive and down right nasty to each other, surely the ugliness of the world isn't blamed only on the men.

   Why don't racists give it up? Everyone should be treated as fairly as possible. You let racism slide and fore ya know it there will be gun totin racists everywhere and no one will be safe. Got one leg shorter than the other, wheeelchair bound. Kill 'em all and let the coroner sort 'em out? What?

      ^^^^ I feel like Danial Tosh, is this racist? Yes, not only that but making fun of handicapped people. You cant erase hate with more hate. Just adding to the problem. Just let the racist be racist, eventually they will breed themselves out, or screw with the wrong person, who has carpet, chain, and access to a lobster boat, they are willing to part with 2 of those items.

   If we are to have a society then we must expect people to elevate themselves beyond the level of barbarians. I have watched fans in Brazil fighting fans of the opposing team to the point that they are banned from attending other games at that location-what kind of example are adults setting for their children when their children see them behaving worse than children?
   
   If we as so-called mature people cannot respect the people we are playing and  the rules of the games then we shouldn't be playing.
   
   Is not ignorance which should be ruling our lives but rather respect and self-respect.
