    are anyone's hub stats off?

mine seem to be - in a goodway but I don't want to get too excited...

I have a hub that scored in todays view as follows:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/Celebrities-on-Twitter
    published 02/02/09
    1 day 4389
    7 days 5039
    30 days 7241
    ever 18719

so basically had about 25% of hits ever in the last 24 hrs - has this hub suddenly "arrived" (most of the traffic is yahoo.com) after a while or re the stats out.

    I have others similar:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/Celebrities-on- … pot-a-Fake
    published 02/03/09
    1 day 794
    7 days 993
    30 days 1325
    ever 3409

    and

    http://hubpages.com/hub/Playmates-on-Tw … r-Accounts
    published 03/27/09
    1 day 391
    7 days 456
    30 days 712
    ever 1541

Anyone got an ideas (apart from thanking my lucky stars?)

Celebrities on twitter? Playmates? you are experiencing these hits because of your keywords. I had the same large numbers of hits on a hub I put up with a sexy name. People are interested primarily in sex, so playmates and celebs fit the bill real well as keywords to drive organic traffic.

Yes but the hub's been doing steady traffic since the beinnign of FEBRUARY and has only just jumped up in the last 2-3 days to account for 25% of the traffic over 4 MONTHS in 48 HOURS!

Keywords don't explain that, nor do they explain why the huge traffic surge is just yahoo sorry

Julie, something similar happened to BristolBoy with his most expensive cities hub - tens of thousands of views over a few days. He wrote about it on the forum, have a look.

It's a great surge, hope they are clicking too!

Found it thanks.  And yes they're clicking (yee-ha!) - so I just might have hit a winnning streak for once.

Coinciding as it does with pulling 2 all nighters to finish the hubchallenge at 100 hubs (after being away for 10 of the 30 days) it's actually well deserved too, if I say it myself!  I wasn't exactly sitting on my bum getting a lucky strike.

You might want to edit that, I think google can get upset if people talk about click precentages.

It's fantastic, though, more power to your elbow, and long may it continue!

Well done.  I was fortunate to have that happen to me.  If it is all coming from tarffic with the same search phrase (you can find this out if you have Analytics) then you can probably guarantee it is very similar to what happened with me.  I also bet that the traffic to the two other accounts came through Hubpages from people clicking from your first hub through.  Thats what happened to me anyway.  I even wrote a blog post about it, but don't want to put it here so people don't think I'm just milking the situation!

Too good to last!  Traffic from everywhere to that page today is only 200 hits - after 4500 yesterday.

    Ah well....

It's back down to 200 hits a day so not to get excited about!

Ah well, it was good while it lasted!

      Pretty good surge, anyway!

It probably was similar to what I had a while back Julie-Ann.  Still as you say it is good whilst it lasted and presumably you also made a little bit out of it so it is all good.
