   Add you own  'one weird trick' on anything.
   
   Ground pepper added to a leaking radiator will plug the leak for 2 months - if use the goop or gunk bought in the store would have to replace radiator. With the pepper - able to fix radiator.

   Amonia and water will leave burn spots/and/or ruin windows with sun film on them. Instead use 2 drops of sunlight dishwashing detergent, one drop of sewing machine oil, in a quart spray bottle. The dishsoap cleans the window, and the sewing machine oil has the same properties of varsols found in newspapers (chemicals pickuped while newspapers are being printed) which make the windows shine.

   When you feel an ingrown toenail coming on, pull small bits of cotton from a cotton ball or off the end of a Q-tip and carefully poke it under the toenail that is starting to hurt using something flat and reasonably pointed, like the end of a nail file or even a knife if you are really careful. With gentle pokes, stuff the cotton under the toenail where the end of the nail meets the toe on the corner/side that is becoming in-grown. Don't jam it in there hard, you're not driving it deep under the nail, and you should not be lifting/prying up on the nail. Just gently poke cotton under there as far as it will comfortably allow you to poke it without causing pain. Just far enough in there that it won't fall out. Usually like a millimeter or two.
   
   Keep adding little bits of cotton to it then, tamping them in until you've packed the corner/edge of that toenail tightly with cotton, again, without having levered up or lifted the nail, and again, it should not hurt to do it. If it hurts more than maybe just a little, you're pushing too hard.
   
   Leave the cotton in there until the toenail grows out. The pressure of the packed cotton will work like a little ramp and lift the nail up and out as it grows. Problem solved. I have done this at least ten times myself as well as for my family.

   don't know if it's weird...but do recall not being able to remove a bolt...it was rusty...someone told me to pour coca cola on it and voila; that darn coke ate away at the rust, enabling me to turn and remove the bolt.
   
   oh my...what does it do to your stomach?!

      Coke makes a good drain cleaner too. I haven't had a Coke since I picked up that little fix

   How tp keep houseflies away from landing on you while outside:
   1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar on all exposed areas of the skin will deter bugs away from you (and any friends with sensitive noses)
