            Depende de su punto de vista, para mí es igual, me encanta la temprament latino y estilo de vida, pero creo que algunos Américas no latino se lamentarán las viejas costumbres.
            
            BTW as a 62 year old white Anglo, my concerns about what happens on my 109th birthday are limited!
            
            But having lived in Spain for 25 years, hey, worse things could happen, you could have sharia law rather than fiestas and sangria!

      "Latino" includes not only Spanish and Portuguese, but Italian and French as well. So yes, we're already beyond the 1/3 mark and have been for a long time.

         Let's not play with words and be realistic. By "latinos", I was referring to the actual data. When our mainstream media refers to latinos it is obvious that it implies only and exclusively the Mexicans crossing our southern borders. The immigation doesn't target the French, the Portuguese or the Spaniards but the Mexicans therefore let's be relevant in our discussion. The Mexicans is so far our last immigration wave.

            You talking about white Mexican Creoles, or dark skin, or Guatemalans walking across Mexico to get to the US, or Americans on welfare pretending to be illegals, getting paid cash and collecting food stamps too, or just...

               I thought the ones that were lazy and collecting all the advantages that our society provides were ONLY black! In fact, in the reality, most of the people enjoying those rights are the white folks... far from your reductive mind.
               Didn't Guatemala nourish a special agreement with the US in matter of immigration. A friend of mine from Guatemala didn't have to cross the Texan border to come here. She came by plane and they gave her the papers, so please check your facts!

   And let's allow them to become citizens without too much paperwork and needless stipulations.

      Totally agree, can you start that policy for British would be immigrants also?
      
      We already qualify for speaking English and are experienced in obeying the laws of the land?
      
      I am English, but qualify for holding a Spanish passport having lived there for 25 years, the irony is that as a Brit, there are no quotas for my immigration unless I bring cash and jobs or specific qualifications, whereas if I were Spanish, there is a quota.... go figure!
      
      I am sure that if the regulations were opened to European immigrants you would get stacks of Brits, Germans and Scandinavians rushing to your shores (again)!

   Folks should be far more concerned with having to learn a few oriental languages,  I haven't seen Mexico on top of any financial or economical list as being powerful.
   
   How many of the items we own were made in China, Taiwan, Korea, etc.?
   
   How many in Mexico?

   Are we talking about the Americas as a whole?  North, Central, and South America?  Or are you talking about the population of the U.S.?  I'd think that if we were speaking of the Americas as a whole, then we'd already be close to that number now.
