I wonder whether you SERP experts noticed the latest Google SERP which doesn't point to specific topic url?  This is what I mean :

Search for : "eternal elegant cheongsam"
Came out in two lines in page 2:
    First one was:
    blackandwhite999.blogspot.com/2010/05/elegant-silence.html‎
May 9, 2010 – Poison In Plastic Cutting Board. 91. How To Soothe Tired Eyes. 74. The Eternal Elegant Cheongsam (Qipao). 88. Today is an auspicious day.

(My comment: blackandwhite is my personal blog, but when I click the link, it only showed a different topic article.)

    Also on page 2 :
    For the second one:
Ethnic and Traditional Clothing - Clothing - HubPages.com
    hubpages.com › Explore › Fashion and Beauty › Clothing‎
The eternal elegant cheongsam, or qipao as it is called in Mandarin Chinese. The most elegant of all female attire in the world. Seeing is believing. Beautiful ...

(My comment : " Explore › Fashion and Beauty › Clothing‎" if you click the individual word, it  points to 3 different links in HP, but not showing my hub, altho it quoted my hub description)

No wonder my traffic has drastically reduced!!

Out of curiouslty, I searched in Yahoo! " eternal elegant cheongsam " and my article url link appeared on top of page 1.

It appears that this page http://goodguy.hubpages.com/hub/The-Ete … -Cheongsam is not indexed by Google. It appears on the topic page
http://hubpages.com/topics/fashion-and- … thing/6938 (about half way down) and this is how your text appears in the SERP for the topic page.

You can check for pages indexed by Google by entering this
      site:goodguy.hubpages.com
to search for a specific page just add  a search term
      site:goodguy.hubpages.com eternal elegant
The result only shows your profile.
Or you can search for your full title in quotes, if its specific enough
Not sure why the page is not indexed - you could try submitting it via Google Webmaster.

        Hi janderson99,

Looks like I am going to be stuck in this G Web  "verification" process.  Just spent 30 minutes over there and couldn't figure out the  "verification" process.  Stuck in website process is my most dreaded fear because I have no one to help me.

One surprising thing is that my latest and dormant  blog is "verified",  but I swear I didn't do it.  I didn't even know this G Web thingie existed until you mentioned it here.  One old blog site "Black and White" was there but with "not verifed".  HP site was not shown at all.

I have viewed the linked video on how to verify, but after trying, failed.  I copied and pasted the "html verification file" into my blog but Google said cannot verified.

        Can you help me?

          Hi Good Guy

A number of hubs are showing up in the SERPs without the subdomain URL; only the "hubpages" part of the URL is being put up.  HP says that this is done by Google and is outside their control.  There are a few threads about it.

Here's a thread about verification of subdomains - none of the suggestions worked for my second account, but they have done for others.

          Hi Judi Bee and janderson99,
Both of you are awesome.  I did not follow the threads mentioned because I am not tech savvy.  I followed the steps provided and wallah, all done.  Will go back to learn more in due course.
Thanks a million.  I really appreciate both your help.
          Be happy.

One final point if it has not been covered already.
I submit every one of my hubs to Google for crawling.
To do this go to Webmaster > Health > fetch as Google.
Enter the URL including the "hub/"
            Click Fetch
Then click the "submit to index" button when it appears.
            It may take several times.
This confirms that Google can find your hub and it submits the page for crawling by the bot.
Incidentally one reason for slow indexing is that the title is too short and has already been used many times before. Adding an extra word or two avoids this. It pays to check the title before proceeding.
            Cheers and best Wishes.

I shall try this in due course.  By the way, does it matters if Google has already indexed/crawled through HP or by its system?
              Thanks janderson99

No it doesn't matter. There are a few problems with the HP listings and so doing it yourself guarantees that the Gbot pays your page a visit. The bot is supposed to crawl them once a week or so anyway. So this reminder won't hurt at all.

                  Hi janderson99,

May I disturb you again?  I did the index exercise for all  my hubs, but on checking, why only 100 are shown when I indexed more than that?

              Hi janderson99,
How  to go to "Webmaster > Health > fetch as Google."
Sorry for me being so dumb.

I thought you had verified your account?
                Anyway go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
Add a site - your subdomain
                Follow the instructions
                Click on the subdomain link.
Verify using the manage site menu - top right (see previous link)
Health is one of the headings in the left column. Follow as described

Hurray, done.  I shall spend my whole day and night to complete the exercise for all my hubs!!
                  Thanks a million, janderson99!

I know my GA shows redirects. If we fetch will this mess up the redirects that HP has set up?
