A few weeks ago, my account dropped below 75...because I was gone for a month or so, and no activity caused the drop. Well I came back from a few trips, got my account up to 79, but all of my links are still no follow. This is actually happening to my friend right now too.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Taylor
The current threshold for nofollow links is a HubberScore of 85.
http://hubpages.com/faq/#linksnofollow
It was introduced a little over a month ago in order to limit SPAMMY backlinks or primarily promotional activities.
Having links follow rather than nofollow is only important for building backlinks and has no impact on a readers ability to follow a link.
Wow. So my level of performance is just barely enough to be considered "follow" worthy.
Wow.
That seems to be it, PS. They are devising algorithms to deal with spammers that catch genuine hubbers in the net. Consider yourself "collateral damage".
Apparently I am no longer follow-worthy as my score fell 9 points to an 83. It feels rather like I'm being told I'm "spammy." Of course with only 20 hubs written the the last year (and only 10 of those featured because I haven't the time for endless tweaking) I would venture to say I'm the worst spammer ever. Guess that makes me a double failure. Or something. All I know is that it is incredibly demoralizing, especially given how hard I worked on the hubs I have and given the fact that they are not, in fact, even the slightest bit spammy.
I specialize in .gov and other extremely reputable links. Associate with class and one is perceived as class. If HP ever tells Google to disregard those links on my hubs, I will cry.

I noticed in an old forum searchable thread from 11 months ago that Paul mentioned, "Currently we apply a nofollow meta tag to hubs with a HubScore below 40, but we may adjust this threshold in the future."I also saw a thread in the Warrior Forum where someone claiming to be a Hub Pages...

When I do the link:'url' thing on google for my hubs, nothing comes up for the hubs that I've done backlinks for on ezine and other places. Does that mean google isn't counting my backlinks to my hubs? When I use http://www.checkbacklink.com/ it does pick up the backlinks.Anyone have any...

If you have a hub and have a small how to section or could turn it into one, would it be a good idea to create a how to article at EHow for backlink purposes? I'm looking for feedback from some people who use ehow.

I know it fluctuates depending on a billion variables...but for you hubbers here who are making decent money, how many backlinks do you create for each hub. Please specify between social bookmarkting, article marketing on directories like ezine, blogging and commenting on blogs. Thanks!

hi guys,- if I submitted hubs / blogs to RSS sites, will those sites themselves (not reposts) provide me with backlinks? And what is your best and fastest recipe for backlinks?

On the Info Barrel forum someone stated that Google gives a "hell to the no," regarding it's classification or purported prejudices concerning nodofollow vs dofollow. . . .folks are saying,"werd up, hommie, I know teh Googlz, and they don't give a flip"Pardon my vernacular - I'm...
