How to Find a Deleted File or Picture

   When we delete a pic or file, we think it is gone forever. But, I have heard that it really is Not gone from hard drive. Experts can find things on your computer.
   
   Question---I deleted a picture about a month ago that I could now Use!!! Any secret to find this picture on computer?

         I thought I had a copy of this picture I am searching for saved into a document. That way I could go back and use it again if I decided to.
         Guess I did not save the document After I added the picture.  Now I am trying to find the picture again.

            You or some program may have deleted the pictures. You can run a photo recovery software to scan the computer and recover deleted files. Here's a good tutorial you can follow

      If you have just deleted a file from computer hard drive, the deleted file still exists on hard drive but its space will be available for new data.
      You can try freeware like:
      1. Recuva
      2. Photorec
      3. Undelete360
      to recover the deleted images.

      In fact, it is possible to recover deleted data from hard drive, when a file is deleted from hard drive, it doesn't mean that the file has been wiped from hard drive, the files system just make a "deleted" flag to the data, whihc make us can't see it as normal. Until new data save to the space where the original data save in, it will be overwritten by new data. therefore, you can try to use Tenorshare Data Recovery to reocver deleted files from hard drive, you can visit this site to learn more about this : http://goo.gl/x8nkU1

   Hey Michael,
   
   Are you using an automatic system cleaner?
   
   Meaning, does your software clean out your cookies, trash bin or other files not needed.
   
   If not, then you should be able to go to the "Trash" bin, where all deleted files are put, until you empty it.
   
   If you have any "automatic" settings in place, then you would require special software to try and recover the file.

      Unfortunately, I have a setting for computer to clean out deleted files from trash bin.  Good in a way, just not this time. lol
      
      But, after many, many, hours of diggingggggggggggg...I found where I made a collage of pics back last summer. I was able to take the pic I am wanting now to use as a single image. Whew!!! Got lucky there.

   Try this software: http://www.piriform.com/recuva It will help you recover deleted files and it's free.
   
   You're right though, just because you click delete does not mean they are gone, it just means the directory path to that file is renamed and rendered useless.  This is why many people are pushing registry cleaners to permanently remove those files.  Every image on every web page you visit is stored in a temporary file on your hard drive, then its backed up in your registry, clearing your cache and temp files will free up needed memory but not delete the files permanently.
   
   Try the free software above, hope it helps.

   There are many good softwares available to recover your files. Infact, these programs can recover your data even if your format your partition.
   
   The one that I like is Easus Recovery software. Easy Recovery professional is another one.
   
   Please suggest other such softwares that you've used and found better.

   Yes michael you heard it right. If we talk about the image itself, or any file, it was really deleted of course because you deleted it yourself. However, if we go deeper, the SPACE and LOCATION where the image file is located in the hard drive still the same. You just deleted it in the operating system, but if you saved other files, installed programs, and other thing that could save in the hard disk, there are possibilities that this space will be replaced and that will be the time that the deleted file will never be recovered. You can use software both to recover and permanently delete files from the hard disk. I am using Active File Recovery which is proven effective in recovering files. I tested it myself, I tried reformatting the whole flash drive and I recovered it as it is. Migo Recover Lost data is also effective in recovering files as well as deleting files PERMANENTLY. You should try it for yourself.
