I often read your posts but am not good at thinking up useful or smart comments, do n't give up.
You always have the internet to keep you company. That and try getting a dog. A realy time demanding dog. Their are studies out about this.
You have us. And we have you. This site wouldn't be the same without you.
Oh, my heart goes out to you PS. You have to find a way to break what ever habits that are keeping you alone. It's all so cliche, all the things ppl say, "Join a group, donate your time... etc etc." But you have to make some change or like Einstein said, you're just repeating the same behavior, looking for different results. Do ANYTHING different today... anything at all. Be encouraged that you matter. You have purpose and meaning and you matter!!! But what good is Shakespeare if it's fallen behind the shelf? What good is the Bible or the classics if they're on a shelf too high to reach. You must be accessible to others to be appreciated. I have this desire to spend Thanksgiving in a soup kitchen... I don't know if I can convince my family of this... but I have this desire anyway. Is there anything like that you could do? (Meals on Wheels?) Love others before you ask for love in return. I know you will be rewarded if you make that effort. (Was that too preachy? Im sorry... I can't help it.)
I sometimes think about all the terrible things that are not happening to me.
I am not, for instance, eating jellied eels. That thought injects a little glee into my life.
There must be quite a few terrible things that are not happening to you.
You were lauding croutons in salads in another thread!
I was genuinely traumatized the last time I bought a salad in a Pizza Hut type outlet. It was a bucket of white fat with a few lettuce leaves floating on the surface and some soggy croutons.
There, that is another terrible thing that is probably not happening to PDS. He is not eating a death salad.
PS --This hub has a lot of good suggestions:

F#ck HP for reclassifying this. Really am feeling bad right now. One day at a time.
If we are the only "relationships" you have right now, what can we do to help?
Are you getting enough rest? Are you able to treat yourself to a good meal? Remember that our minds often decide to go off and blow things out of proportion. Like Will says, keep things in perspective.
You're never truly alone as long as you're communicating with other human beings, be it online or otherwise.
Life's possibilities are endless. Stop for a moment and think what you want to do with it......
Did it help????
Alone? Like, in a room full of people? Like no family/friends? Like, you are rejected in some way?
I ask because I have been alone. I kinda liked it! Probably because I've always been "surrounded". I needed some space. But you are sad? I hate to hear that. But encourage yourself.
You're a good writer. It's obviously one of your talents. Be courageous. SSomebody loves you (I just know it). Forgive yourself (whatever that means). You are here. Tell yourself why.
Miss C: I saw a movie about a story in the Bible about King Solomon. He was king of Israel, son of King David. In this movie, he fell in love with the Queen of Sheba. Now, at this time, Solomon believed in the One-God, but fell into the acceptance of many gods through his passion for this alluring queen. He even got her pregnant. In the end, she developed a love for the One-God, gave up her many gods, and she left King Solomon to go back to the land of Sheba to have the child and convert her country into a One-God believing country. Isn't that a sweet story? Not true to the bible, however. Total fiction.
Bible report: In the end Solomon becomes quite corrupted: Has 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. The bible states: "and his wives turned away his heart."
At THAT point, all was not lost to Solomon. He had yet another chance.
Did I see you correctly?
Good for you to actually be trying to get something positive and compassionate from her post.
no... he did not. But one of his son's did. I think my point was that it could be worse for Parry. Can you imagine 700 wives and princesses and three hundred concubines? Why, that is a city of women!
*Being alone is like being in heaven: he who does not value solitude does not value freedom.* ( Even an atheist can agree.)
Are you not going to attempt to help someone in need?
Just so I know you understood me; as long as Solomon lived, he had a chance to return to his first love.
Also, I think loneliness is human. Solitude often produces lonely results. Man was not meant to be alone. Some are sequestered for a time, but it is natural to desire some companionship. It could be worse, yes. But sadness is heart-pulling.
Frankly, I need to get laid. Not a whore. Got to be a long-time friend. I am doomed...
At least you've got high moral standards. I see your perception of self-worth increasing by the minute!
Eww, and you felt compelled to start a thread just to tell us that?
Laid??? Oh THAAAAT... sorry for interrupting.
He's in California with an aching in his heart...
Tryin' to find a woman who's never been born…
what sign are you? My guess is Capricorn. Women love Capricorns. But these men never realize it. They sulk, they stay inside, they huddle on their computer writing things… when they do go out it is with the guys and they watch women play pool and are too shy to do anything about it. They think that gal over there would never want anything to do with them. She's too beautiful, or she's too smart, or she's too uppity… or she's too blond, or not blond enough or whatever. And when they do finally strike up a conversation, they are disappointed by the shallowness of the poor girl who just wanted to say something witty, but failed, because he made her so nervous….
If you are looking to get laid, Craig's List may be a better bet than HubPages. Just sayin'.
I just received this comment on one of my hubs. Totally unrelated to this thread.
"Thank you for your time, considerations, and efforts, in order to help your fellow citizen successfully (hopefully) dodge the gauntlet so skillfully presented to the public. May Karma be kind to you."
As you can see, I am not totally worthless.
No at all, even though most of us have that same feeling at times, you have written some very uplifting and encouraging hubs. They are just what some people need at one time or another. Go back and read some of your own hubs, read the comments, read your fan mail.
Get some rest, take your vitamins. Eat some chocolate.
Frankly, it takes courage to say anything personal in this nest of idiots, lol. So all is not lost.
I am a little annoyed with PDS now. He has lured me over to topical hell with this thread and suddenly I am interacting with complete nut jobs. I posted in the political forums just now and I don't even talk nut job!
You really don't have to speak the same language... just say something that sounds contrary and you'll be fully entrenched in a conversation before you know it. Or just state whether or not you believe in a higher power in the religious forums and bingo... you're in again. Or you can just say "boo" to me and I'll always respond. I have no life, plus you're my favorite poster.
You are embarrassingly kind, Beth. But it is obviously untrue that you have no life. For one thing you have a library. I would trade all the bars in my town for a library.
You have a daughter too. Who has birthday parties.
This means you can throw books at badly behaved tweens and teens as much as you like. What could be more satisfying?
Im watching a zombie show now. It's like one minute in. Im terrified. A kids gonna turn around and its gonna be a zombie and its gonna be horrible! Ack it was! Her face is half gone. Why am I watching this? I hate horror more than anything on earth. Ugh... this is my world Will. Work, kids, an indecent amount of online scrabble, church, hubpages, trying to find a good series to watch on Netflix, and now Im writing about a book (I forgot marriage counseling). But that's about it. No trips to Paris, no beach bonfires, nothing to write home about. However, I *did write something personal... something you have yet to do.
(We do have an awesome library.)
Gonna do a PDS thing here and copy and paste:
At the age of thirty-seven she realised she'd never
Ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair.
So she let the phone keep ringing and she sat there softly singing
Little nursery rhymes she'd memorised in her daddy's easy chair.
Her husband, he's off to work and the kids are off to school,
And there are, oh, so many ways for her to spend the day.
She could clean the house for hours or rearrange the flowers
Or run naked through the shady street screaming all the way.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YANUIa_bHoU
ps You don't need anything personal from an old guy slinking reluctantly towards eternity.
That's lovely. Though if I ran naked thru the streets it might be my neighbors screaming all the way. Maybe I should skip the croutons after all.
lol.
I think PDS would be after you, croutons or no croutons.
Thanks for the visuals, guys! Beth has thrown off her long gown and is now running down the streets, flowers braided into her hair. I don't know if she or the neighbors are screaming… she is a bit chubby from eating a tad too many croutons, (even though it is becoming increasingly hard to get them in salads…) and Parry is chasing her… with his computer mouse still in his pocket!
Wearing nothing but croutons? Sounds itchy.
I seem to be muddling it up tonight.
If I were wearing nothing but croutons even I couldn't resist me. lol
lol... and this is why you're my favorite. Could you just write down funny stuff all day and I will read it when I get home at night? I love to laugh.... why can't I stop saying personal stuff? If only I had something interesting to share. Where's Pds when you need him?
Paradigm. I feel you are alone because you choose not to see how not alone you are. Look at all the happy smiling people that came here to tell you how worth while you are! Look at the responses! You try to validate your self in places like the snake pit. And users in their dont value you. Try to keep to places that think of you as a good person, not just a conversation piece. You write brilliant hubs that mean something to the people that read them. Stop selling your self short. Seriously. You are worth more than you admit.
He has neptune in Libra. He wants love… a fair maiden wearing a long gown and flowers braided into flowing hair. Oh, where could she be? The last time he saw her he was 17...
In the 60's.
PDS. You can make people laugh. I have seen that. Be thankful for being alive and having friends on this site who love you. Hugs. Audrey. Eat berries for good feeling. Call someone
In my own personal fantasy world, deliciously funny and curvy women go completely bonkers from time to time and run wild and free in the streets.
But these days my wife would need to help me run them down (those women nets are so heavy!). And being an unreasonable person she probably would not.
Is everyone picturing me chubby now? I don't like this thread anymore. You know I put lettuce in with the croutons too!
- you pretty much admitted it: That's why the neighbors were screaming, right?
I poke fun at myself quite a bit. I guess I should be more careful... I forget how literal ppl can be.
No, we ppl have really great imaginations!
Surely you have something better to think about. Have you seen Walking Dead?
With Susan Serandon? (sp?)
Great movie. Did you like it?
Uh... nothing... just trying to get you off the subject of my body. Perfect example of joke gone awry. lol
You have to remember that we are actual, and literal, as well as digital and figurative.
I have always had a bit of a problem not making ppl into the ppl I think they are. I forget we're not all thinking the same thoughts. lol
Some of us are, except I hate croutons. I always toss them under the table and step on them-- unless someone is wearing them.
haha, yes, if you ever see me come into a restaurant wearing my crouton dress, kindly, don't step on me. I do have feelings... in all sorts of places.
stop the torture… I can't read anymore!
BTW Meanwhile, elsewhere, Parry is smoking a cigarette...
What? Do you misunderstand a lot of jokes or just mine?
"I do have feelings" implies emotions... but the joke was, she was stepping on me personally... causing me pain by stepping on me. Do you understand?
My imagination is visualizing all of this… augh...
...you are laying on the floor wearing a crouton dress and she is stepping on you… you are obviously under a table in a restaurant… and you have feelings like around your stomach or back where she is stepping on you with her shoes. I can even hear the scratching of the soles of her shoes on the toasty, crunchy croutons. oh the pain.. Please... Some of us do take it literally!
Maybe we could refocus on the theme of this thread... what was it again? Oh yes... focus on that for a while.
we were all concerned about Parry's sadness. And then it became all about someone else… Meanwhile he is fine.
good bye!
I just read each and every post. I do indeed have friends here.
I have snapped out of it and am on the comeback trail.
Long live these forums. Much good can come from them sometimes.
And my fondness of HP continues.
Think I'll do some good deeds today.
Will your good deeds including sending some traffic into the Wilderness, off the beaten track? No one comes to visit, and hubs get lonely, too.
You poor thing and your 1M accolade...
btw, most of my Twitter followers are writers. Your http://hubpages.com/hub/Copying-Article … nt-Removed hub was perfect for them.
I've been neglecting my Twitter account atrociously as of late. Just tacked the link back on my profile page.
Rad, PDS - boy, you guys are harsh. We all need some HubLove and while PDS may have tried with that hub, it's showing 0 views today.
So sad. The tears are messing up my keyboard and it's all your fault!
I've very glad you are feeling better. If at some later time you are down again, look once again for friends here.
Working my way through this thread and visiting hubs. There's an amazingly lot of good stuff laying around here...
Hey, Beth. Are you doing http://hubpages.com/my/hubs/groups ? I highly recommend it.
I don't know what that is. Hey! You can see all my hubs, even the ones I unpublished after trying to make an honest woman of myself. How can you see them all? Wait, can you see the titles or the actual hubs that I have unpublished?
Everyone sees their own hubs. It is a sort of magic.
So what does he see when he clicks on that link?
Well, check this one out... http://rochelle-frank.hubpages.com/hub/ … eing-Sixty
And here is another philosophical hub. http://jasonmarovich.hubpages.com/hub/L … ury-Person
For the younger folks... http://kathrynlhill.hubpages.com/hub/Advice-in-2012
Thank You!
I also appreciate all your enlightening forum posts. For instance, It was very interesting to hear from the Philippines during their storm.
Was more than happy to do it. Students and parents can save a fortune doing the freshman and sophomore years at a junior college.
Jeez..., a lot of the hubs I have been visiting have not had any comments in over a year.
Thats because a lot of people never check out hubs. They are focused on other things. I just read the work of shinkicker. That is some funny stuff. Especially the one about interior decorating in police stations. It was funny. Real humor not a parody that does not make sense. I wish more hubber wrote like that.
Well, finished going through the entire list. Not only did some return favors, but also did lots of paying it forward. Think I'll go and try to write some sort of helpful bubble.

What do you think about what's happening in Gaza?

Since I migrated here from Squidoo two months ago, I've seen a steady stream of threads in this forum, complaining about lost page views. There are a lot of theories about why it's happening, and how much it's happening, and what can be done to get into Google's good graces.Google is not my #1...

Why do people resist change when change is inevitable? In order for transformation to take place in our lives or in any society, we must be willing to change some things. Change sometimes calls for a new way of thinking; a shift in our paradigms. It is becoming aware of the things that are...

If a doctrine or belief that is taught by the Church today was unknown to the 1st century Apostolic Church, is it a valid doctrine? Is it inspired by God, or is it a false manmade doctrine?

What would you do if you find yourself home alone for Christmas?
