      As an American Woman, in the Middle East. Although I adore my friends from there, I would be afraid to travel there.

      The most remote parts of the Amazon rainforest... But it's not that bad, I'll find some native tribes and hope that they share their expertise with me

      Afganistan is scaring for me as a european. I am not actually scared by jungles, or wild animals. They are scary indeed, but they are animals. I am scared by those people who do not have a possibility to see the other worlds and are so fanatic in their believe that ready to kill others.

      Some parts of Asia such as Iran, Afghanistan, and North Korea.    Some parts of Europe-Germany, Hungary,Russia, and Eastern Europe espcially where  Neo-Nazis and other racist extremist groups are in full gear.  Some parts of  North America/United States where Neo-Nazis and other racist extremist groups are in full gear.  Some parts of North America/United States such as some parts of Detroit; East New York, Brooklyn; South Bronx, New York; and some parts of Alphabet City, New York.

   Scared of what? One can be scared of animals, extreme weather, people, diseases, landmines, pirates, etc.
   
   In the continent of Australia there are a lot of scary animals. The good thing is that those animals are more scared of you than you are scared of them.

      Well, not the  brown snake nor the inland taipan.  The inland taipan is a very deadly snake, one bite and you are out of this world.

   I can't imagine why anyone would be scared of living in Australia.Have a lot of nice animals here !
   The scariest place would have to be the Middle East where you have to be real careful of not getting arrested .

   Good heavens, I forgot I had posted this thread (probably a little drunk).
   
   I will admit the US was pretty scary. Coming from the UK I just wasn't used to having areas in cities that it was not safe to pass through.
   
   Having said that, I'm in Thailand at the moment and for months it has been raining. We moved from one house to another recently and a week later the old house was under a meter of water.
   
   The new house has a roof terrace and you should feel safe 40 feet above ground level but I recently discovered a snake and a few giant centipedes live up there too.
   
   The other night I was sitting out reading and there were three shots. Someone got executed by the sounds of it.
   
   Paradise has its perils.
   
   Anyway, that is what prompted the post.

   I have been to every continent except Antartica, and the scariest for me was, without a doubt, Africa. From North Africa to West Africa, I had my share of scary experiences. There is beauty to be found on any continent, but Africa has more than its share of things that can ruin your stay.

   Contrary to animals from the other types of woods, there are way more rainforest animals for each sq . in . of those forests staying in absolute peace. Rainforest wildlife consist of very small pesky insects, beetles and even butterflies, spiders as well as scorpions, snakes and other reptiles, frogs and toads, wild birds, apes, and so the checklist continues. And they are solely to mention what we fully understand.
   
   Except for these, there are hundreds and hundreds of rainforest wildlife which may be unknown by researchers as they are located too deep or way too high in the woodlands to be noticed or registered. Also, there's a specific stratospheric system between these animals. As an example birds are living practically above the thick vegetation, building the nests on the top of the largest timber. Under the birds you can see the orangutans and in some cases snakes. Bugs are basically located in all levels, however the much bigger wildlife for instance tigers and reptiles for instance crocodiles normally are located on woodland ground
