Perhaps we would all do well to admit that atheists have a trimendous value (in the human society). And without their presence - we would be living in a spiritually poor world.
Atheists - everywhere - can be compared to the school dropouts (because they found the traditional education-systems to be boring) who - later in life - bring forth substantial creative contributions in the world. Perhaps it is safe to say that most atheists are (spiritually) rebels and misfits - and that we - the so-called 'spiritual' people - may have a lot to learn from them.
We must forgive them [atheists] for the certain unacceptable activities that they engage in: just the way that we forgive our wild and rebellious (but also 'large-hearted') younger brother.
They [atheists] are obssessed with 'science' and they have unrealistic perceptions and expectations from that particular field. They also find crazy theories like evolution and big-bang to be utterly amusing. They hate to admit that spirituality is the ultimate thing in life.
But atheists, on the contrary, demonstrate certain humanistic traits which have become extinct in religious (and even in the supposedly 'spiritual') people. In this sense - and in that sense alone - they are highly spiritual.
Let us ease our differences with them. And bring forth something worthwhile. Let us remember, again, that: 'God is love'.

Gotta love it - massive insult and denigration, followed by "MY god is love". Who else could put such a missive together?
North Korea.
"You will be forced to live in squalor with strict thought control and forced reverence to our Beloved Leader! Because our Beloved Leader loves you!"
What you are promoting is an ancient spirituality without much closer updated answers towards evolving mankind. An ancient spirituality that has already manifested it's-self into an over ego group within an over ego world,
Spirituality is about the unknowns, in degrees Atheist are taking spiritual action through observing, exploring, and inventing from many unknowns areas. If you’re saying you’re very spiritual and atheist is not acting spiritual, I don't believe you, because assumed magic from Bronze Age story tellers is not good enough in my books.
Ba ha ha ha. Talk about your back handed insults. You go girl.
So your argument is that religion is the norm and we don't understand science.
My argument is that diversity is the norm and that as a working scientist I understand science just fine, thanks.
(p.s. why use more complicated language than necessary to communicate the point?)

Atheists do not dislike God - they dislike the God which has been created, described and distributed by human beings. "A Christian God" - says an atheist - "is not a God at all" - and they are true - up to a great extent. A "Muslim God" - said he - "is...

Are atheists rebelling against 'bad religion' because God's image has been tarnished by the church?"By believing in God, you have gained something; spirituality. By disbelieving in God, you have lost something; sanity." Abdus Salaam

What if the opposite of what you believe in (spiritually) happened to be the truth? What would you change if you were told with 100% certainty that God does not exist? Or if you don’t believe in God, that he does exist?

Does ringing in the ear mean anything (spiritually)?I get the deafening tone and high pitched ringing every now and then. Probably 10 times a year. Today it happened once... Then a few minutes later happened again. I never had it happen back to back. I am not talking about tinnitus, I am talking...
