I received this message on one of my cookie recipe articles.  I don't understand it because it was already in a recipe module when it transferred from Squidoo.

"WARNING: There are one or more recipe capsules in this Hub, but this Hub will not appear as a recipe in search results."

Does this mean I have to rewrite the recipe in a capsule so it will get traffic?  Why isn't it being placed as a recipe?  I have not edited it yet from the transfer, because once I start I can't stop until it's done.  I'd like to know what to change before I begin editing so it won't get a violation. It's not in one now.

Can someone look and see what the problem is? Thanks

In order for the recipe micro-format to be applied your Hubs needs to contain all of the recipe capsules (cook time, recipe ratings, instructions, ingredients, and nutrition).

If you edit your Hub and add all of the recipe capsules and your Hub, then it should show as a recipe for search engines like Google.

You can check the micro format here as well.

Thanks for this info Matthew.  I checked one of my recipes just to see what it would look like and was curious if you know why there is a box ( on the left) where a picture should appear, but it is empty.  It would be nice for the recipes to have a photo.  Thanks for any insight you may have.

Matthew will know more but I have never seen a photo on the left, only the entire Hub (full-size) or on the right.

HP doesn't have the option to put photos on the left.

      favored,
I noticed that a couple of times you mentioned "Follow us on" and one of the locations was Squidoo Articles. They links led to HubPages articles. Perhaps if you change the names.

Examiner I haven't changed anything yet so that's why those things are still there. I wanted to make sure of what needed to be done before editing.

Matthew the article does have all those items, but they were in the Squidoo recipe format. So from what you're saying I need to redo it in the Hub page one, correct? Thanks. I was thinking I might need to do that, but wanted to be sure before I did anything so I would do it right.  Appreciate it.

I checked out that Hub and it looks like there may be some issues with the recipe ratings capsule being blank.

You should see a red message that says "Click edit above to add content to this empty capsule." in the capsule while editing in the HubTool.
Please add a capsule subtitle and subject reviewed in that capsule and let me know if it still is showing as a recipe using the microformat check site I provided a link to before.

Thank you Matthew. I appreciate it.  Will be working on these changes for all my recipe articles, so it's good to start out on this smaller one.

Ugh! That evil warning message appears if you have a ratings capsule added, but haven't edited that capsule to include the name of what's being rated.

That's strange since I haven't even done anything on it to put the rating on the article. I haven't even opened it to edit.  My tribute article had recipes on it and I hadn't opened it either.
