Guys, please help. I am new to the hub and to be honest with you I have joined to backlink to my blog. Now what has happened is my first hub has not been published. It is not copyright violated but self created content with lots of data and photographs(even these are created by me). It contains around 400 words and no way it is a low quality article. Score was shown as 66. Now please advise where did I go wrong. Is ot the 3 links that I added to the article?
Thanks in advance
If you have 3 links to your blog, that is the problem. You are only allowed 2.
Is that so? I am going to change it. Let's see after that
i was only allowed to add one external link and need to write at least 700 words
Who told you that? You can have two links to any website.
Sometimes your subject can make all the differences in the world. What I have discovered in the past whenever I've had to write (such as for college or assist one of my clients) is to do your research! Visit some of the top writers and see what they are doing. Notice what they have accolades in and actually read a couple of their articles. Then go back and reread your article.
Another thing I do is prewrite in MS Word. It can normally catch my errors and that helps a lot. I really wish there was a mentoring or "buddy system" here where a writer could try out their subject matter with other writers before actually "putting it out there." Just remember the more you write the better you should get. Hang in their and you'll make it!
Hi treaderind,
It looks like some Hubbers have already given you some helpful advice. I'd just like to add that more than 2 links to the same domain are not allowed in a Hub, but writing a Hub for the sole purpose of promoting another business, blog, etc is also not allowed. If a moderator determines that your Hub was written exclusively to send people to your blog and not to provide any helpful information, it will be unpublished as overly-promotional.
As a few others have already mentioned, HubPages is not a good place to write if your goal is to drive traffic to your business.
Hi there,
If you go to edit mode for your article, you should see
a box in the top right corner. This contains hints of things
to do to create a good hub.
I think you'll need at least 700 words, as shown in this
box, before your hub will be published.
If the three links are to the same site, your hub may be seen
as overly promotional.
Perhaps more experienced hubbers can give you more help though.
Good luck.
Hubs are not instantaneously published so it could just be awaiting assessment. If it failed assessment do as described above to see why.
Did you go slow and proofread ii? Is there room for improvement? Can you add something or take something from it to make it much better?
This is really not a good place to write articles just to backlink to your blog. They won't get a lot of traffic is that is all you do. The articles must be able to stand on their own, and any links must be relevant to the content and helpful to the reader.
Then I think it is better to put effort to the blog itself
No, that is a quality guideline but I get hubs under 300 words accepted and featured quite regularly.
Guys, ho to delete a hub from pending? The dead horse I can't dispose???

I have finally published a hub that has been deemed unfeatured. I can only direct my attention to a table I inserted which was long when viewed on the mobile platform. Grammar is checked, titles tweaked, content is solid as its in the same vein as my other articles. Do you think this could be it?...

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

I just posted a question about this. But now I am really upset. I wrote a hub about my Halloween costume box, and the memories.. All the pics and story were my own. I want to know why hubpages unpublished it. I found this out when I posted my hubpage article on another site. I spent a lot of time...

So I just completed my newest hub (even though its my 9th one, I still feel proud about it and now I was wondering how to promote the hub. My hubs seem to be dying, with some only getting several views daily, and I only have two strong hubs that bring in traffic. I really want to learn how to...

Hi everyone, I've been thinking of starting a travel blog for quite a while now since I travel a lot and I love to find the best tips and things to do everywhere I go. I decided I'd start by posting an article or two here on hubpages to see how it goes. Can anyone give me some tips and constructive...

I fail to see the need for the "related hub" section on each of my hub pages. Sometimes these hubs do not really relate to mine. Readers come to our pages to read the hubs we wrote or because they like to follow us. Pulling our readers away to other hubs is not quite fair. There are...
