I haven't been around here much of late. That could change. I'd written a hub on my approach to online writing. The whole ball game has changed again and it is no longer true. The advice I give in it is now mostly garbage. That's life online though. I'll have some better stuff on here soon.

Join the club!  I wish other writers would do the same - I still see far too many blogs giving outdated advice about online writing.

I just have a hard time living with myself knowing that I've got that kind of misinformation floating out there with my name on it. There was a time when it was all spot on.

It is strange looking back at one's work - either you discover that  the writing is out of date or that you have come a long way in just two short years.  I really don't know how people manage to keep their many hundreds of hubs fresh and current.  I have been revisiting mine and I know that like you, there will be better stuff coming soon.

This is exactly why I have always tried to limit the number of hubs I write.  Too many can become overwhelming...just think of the new change that came out today on the HP blog about changing the number of words per ad for people who have many, many ads based on the old guidelines.

I don't have that many here right now but depending on circumstances that could change. I will rotate out articles that just don't seem to be doing anything.

You could just update the hub to suit the here and now instead of unpublishing it. Keep it aged with new info.

This is more than major surgery though. I may revise it in the future but I haven't really got good alternatives at this point.

I looked at my most viewed hub awhile ago when it began to plummet in views.  I was appalled.  The content was really good, but it needed so much work.  It is also my most stolen which must say something about plagiarists.  Sometimes,  I get so side tracked editing hubs I don't get new ones published.

Check out the Learning Tutorials before you start so as not to waste your time and to catch up with any changes. Good luck let me know when you publish something new.

I'll make some noise when I put together some new hubs. It may be a couple weeks yet. Got a lot of other writing on my plate.

Yes, things do change and some Hubs need to be revisited.  I just had to do it today.  I created and  'Update' capsule, to previous information.
