This morning I'm seeing several broken link warnings on this account and my other two, all related to YouTube videos. The note in the Broken Links Report says "Error: 410 Gone". When I hit retest it just says "Link Bad".
The videos are there, and they are working just fine. They work when you view them in the Hub. They even work when you click the link in the Broken Links Report.
This appears to be a bug or something.
I had one of these too. I replaced that video of another one, and the "broken link" went away.
I am having the same problem with 3 of my hubs.
I checked those links.
Each of them does play, but if you check the HTTP return code for each of them, the server response is
SERVER RESPONSE: HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
It looks like Google may be blocking the check.

I have let our engineering team know in case there is a way to not show these as broken if playable.
We have addressed this issue, so those video should no longer show as broken.
You may need to re-test the links on the broken link page for them to update.

Please make sure to read over the explanation of how it works on that page as well.
Important - Please Read
Most Hubs are checked for broken links within 1-2 minutes after being edited. Due to technical limitations, a small percentage Hubs will not be rechecked right away. If you correct a broken link but still see a warning, it is probably because your Hub has not been rechecked by our systems. Please note that clicking the "retest" button may not get rid of the link, because it only checks whether a link is valid or not. If this happens, don't be alarmed — your Hub will be rechecked eventually, but it may take up to a couple of months. Keep in mind that your readers are unaffected by this as the updated link will be shown in the live Hub.
Please note that the "check for violations" button in My Account > Hubs > Stats will not recheck your Hub for broken links. Instead:
You can click the "ignore" button to not be bothered by a broken link warning.
You can make a simple edit to your Hub and that *may* cause it to be rechecked right away.
For more information, click on the blue "help" link. Thanks!

Why most of the Youtube videos carry the banner of broken links, while they all work.
by William F Torpey 12 years ago
Since only yesterday, 21 of the 37 youtube videos that have been imbedded on my hub titled "Still More Grampa's Favorite Songs, Singers" have been tagged as "Potentially Broken Links" when I'm in edit mode, yet when I click on them in normal mode they play fine (although...

It seemed to be fixed for a while, but once again I'm seeing broken link warnings for YouTube videos that aren't actually broken. Just a heads up for staff. I see this mostly on my biggest account, but then again I have more articles and use more YouTube videos over there so maybe that's why.
