I have never laughed harder since the days of Pat Paulson. Total comic relief, from the lead clown in the GOP clown car!!

As the opposition from the Democratic clown car is liable to be Clinton, I'd have to go with Trump as likely to case less damage.

I doubt that H Clinton could be more damaging, but again on the laughter meter, Trump will be hard to beat, the late night commentary, the political cartoons - that thing that is on his head. .....

Agree, and I don't like Trump.  But I very highly dislike Clinton and am firmly convinced that she would do great damage to our country.

And of course we should never elect a president with funny hair.  The world will end for sure.  If there's anything the Dem's have taught us it's that appearance is far, far more important than substance.

So you really believe that the GOP is about substance, while you criticize the dems, the GOP is just another version of the fun house mirror. I thought that you are politically unaligned, why come to the GOP's rescue?

Trump is a political clown ,   There a conservative said that !     It is a joke for him  to even  join the race , a mockery of  a circus already !     Only truly serious candidates should  be allowed to run !And no wild cards either ,  if there is no chance of themwinning , they shouldn't be allowed to steal votes . All they are doing is  buying power with vote  theft  !

"All they are doing is  buying power with vote  theft  !"

And, possibly with the exception of Ross Perot, doing it with donated money.  Using a personal fortune to campaign with has kind gone out of style.

"why come to the GOP's rescue?"

Mostly to poke you with a stick.  smile  But also to kind of point out that your continual diatribe against the GOP is absolutely the pot calling the kettle black.  The democratic party is not one whit better than the GOP, either morally or any other way.  Both have major problems in their platform and both behave equally reprehensibly.

Thats what I thought, I touched a nerve, did I not?

My diatribe against the GOP is, at least from my pespective as a progressive, well deserved. But, I have been open to those that can tell me why I am wrong about that.I have been willing to evaluate the evidence in a balanced way and you know that I will be the first to cry uncle if I get caught with my britches down.

It is your opinion that the parties amount to 6 on one side and a one half dozen on the other. I would say 9 on 1 side and 3 on the other with the higher score being negative and belonging to the GOP. Outside of politics, there are deeper ideological principles involved that underlie the direction of each party, one set of ideological principle is simply more desirable to me than the other. There are millions of others that are not 20 somethings or part of the cursed 47 percent that are voting the progressive line which is this day and age is the Democratic party. So, if I seem partial, yes I am, but I need antagonistic argument to sharpen my own or to make me pause and reconsider. That is what you guys help me do.

No, no real nerve, though I do hate to see anyone that convinced that either party has an upper hand on morality.  As I mentioned, I find that both platforms have highly unethical and immoral guides, just different ones.  And, perhaps, a bare handful that I can actually agree with.

I'll admit, he good at making a profit. But to be president? Well, we do need to get out of this money and economic problems. Maybe he could do it. I might vote for him as long as Oprah is not his running mate! There's the joke on the box!

Trump is the P.T. Barnum of politics. A phrase that is attributed to Barnum but disputed is "There's a sucker born every minute". The question is how long will he last this time and how much of other peoples money is he going to waste getting there?

Oh I agree we deserve it alright. As lazy, bad and stupid an electorate as we have I think you may be right. Trump is on the same par as Palin was. We deserved her too.
