FIXED: "More in this Series" hidden for groups

   I was curious to see how one of my hubs looks to outside visitors who have an ad blocker in their browser. Having done this, I just discovered that the Adblocker Plus used in Firefox blocks the "More in this Series" section at the bottom of our hubs where our group's next and last are normally listed.
   
   If this is happening because that section is coded as an ad, then it may be blocked by other ad blockers too. 
   
   The "Popular" and "Related" lists of hubs in the right floating column are NOT blocked,  only the "More in this Series" section below the hub is blocked.
   
   Can this be fixed so it doesn't erroneously trigger ad blockers? After all, it's not an ad.

      I can see the "More in this Series" section in hubs viewed with Firefox with Adblock Plus enabled, whether I'm logged in or out.
      Is there anything in the "Ad Blocking Rules" under preferences which could be screening out this section?

         Interesting point. I'll have to check on that. But even if it has some setting, I'm using the default settings when I installed the ad blocker on Firefox. I have to assume that most people don't change the settings. This would mean that most people will miss the "More in this Series" hubs. We'll see what Matt finds out. I'm sure he'll figure out this whole thing.

      I just tried AdBlock Plus in Firefox in Windows and could see that section as well. Perhaps there is something different with the OS X version. I will test on a Mac and see what I find.

         Thanks Matt. I look forward to hearing what you discover. Strange thing is that Millionaire Tips is using Firefox on Windows and has a similar problem. As you noticed, I was testing with Firefox on my iMac.

            In addition to my Windows/Firefox testing, I tested using OS X 10.10.5 and Firefox 41.0.2 logged in and logged out with AdBlock Plus on and off and I see the "more in this series" section in each of these instances.
            
            I don't have a 10.8.5 with which to test, but  I did try OS X 10.7.5 and Firefox 41.0.2 and I am seeing the same thing as with the other browsers.
            
            I have been checking your "The Evolution of Infinite Time and Space" Hub.
            Are you seeing it only on specific Hubs?
            Does clearing the browser cache and restarting your computer have any impact?
            
            Can you share a screenshot of the Hub that is not showing the "more in this series" section with Ad Block plus enabled in Firefox?

               Thanks Matt. I did reboot and clear that cache. No change. However, I just discovered something interesting that may help.
               
               I looked at the same hub you looked at, and I see the "More in this Series" even with the ad blocker on Firefox. Just as you do.
               
               So I decided to look at the hub I was looking at yesterday (How To Avoid Costly Auto Repairs If Check Engine Light Is On) and that one is NOT showing "More in this Series".
               
               When I disable the ad blocker the "Recommended Hubs" appears. But still not the "More in this Series"  (maybe you only show one or the other - not sure about this). 
               
               I wonder if the problem has anything to do with the new "autos" URL directory. So - I checked my other hub in "autos" and it has the same problem. Other hubs are okay.
               
               A little more detail: "Recommended Hubs" are serviced by Google and looks like an ad. So that seems to get blocked and I'm not complaining about that.  But "More in this Series" doesn't show up on Firefox on hubs that are in the "autos" topic (with or without ad blocker).

                  I see "More in this Series"  for both Firefox and Chrome for hubs in "autos". I wonder whether it has something to do with your GROUPS. All my "autos" are in my group "cars". Perhaps this is a warning that groups may not work under the new directory structure

                     Thanks of your input on this. That's interesting. It seems this is more complicated than I had hoped.
                     
                     You obviously are using groups too since you see "More in this Series" on your hubs on Firefox. So I wonder what the difference is. I'm using Firefox 41.0.2 on OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac. What versions and system are you using? Maybe that has something to do with why we have different results.
                     
                     I would love to know if anyone else is not seeing "More in this Series" for hubs that are in Groups.

                        I think that it may be related to the group. I'm checking with our engineering team to see if that is the case.

                     I'm pretty sure that this issue was happening before the new directory structure. I've seen it for a while now.

               Matt, Now that the other hubs have been moved I checked on one in the "technology" topic and that is okay. So this seems to only be happening to my hubs in "autos". Weird. Isn't it?

      Looks like this is related to the group.
      Right now we are showing the "more in this series" in a published Hub when the group has 3 or more published Hubs.
      
      It seems that it should show for a group with at least 2 published Hubs, so I have shared this information with our engineering team so they can address it.
      
      So right now it will show for you when you are logged in, but not for readers, but it should show if the Hub group has 3 or more published Hubs.  Thanks for sharing the details so we could track this down.

         Yes, that clarifies what is happening. Thanks, Matt, for figuring this out. I'm glad it's not related to the topic URL changes. I admit it was confusing because when I was testing, I was not logged in on Firefox (on purpose) and I was logged in on Safari. So that was causing me to see it on Safari even though there were only two hubs in my "auto" group. Thanks again for your wonderful work and expertise in finding what was happening.

      Glen we deployed a fix for this.
      However, it could take up to 8 hours for it to resolve as the cache needs to be updates.

         Now, I understand why some hubs do not contain the "More in this Series" section. They should have at least two more hubs so as to feature more in the series.

   Yep, that happens to me.  The Recommended Hubs are not shown because I have the adblocker on. When I disable the adblocker on the page so I can help someone with their hub, the Recommended Hubs show up then.  I use Adblocker Plus, Windows 10 and Firefox.

      It's strange that you have somewhat different results than I do. I see it fine on the "Popular" and "Related" lists.  They are not blocked. But I don't know what you mean by the "Recommended Hubs." The problem I have is with the  "More in this Series" being blocked. Where are the "Recommended Hubs." Am I missing something I never noticed?

         Sometimes, they put "Recommended Hubs" instead of "More in this series". Recommended hubs are powered by Google as ads. I have them on most of my hubs.

            Ahh yes. How silly of me. I see both the "Recommended Hubs" and "More in this Series" when not using the ad blocker. I was getting confused when testing with the ad blocker since both of those get blocked, and I forgot about the  "Recommended Hubs" Google listing. Thanks for clarifying.
            
            It's interesting that the "Popular" and "Related" hubs in the floating column do not get blocked by the ad blocker. That means that HP can do the same to save the ones below the hub.
