AdSense sign-up questions -Late 2015 edition

   Hi all,
   
   Yes, I know that there are many questions like this in the forums, but not all the information is current and it's really tough to suss out details and advice from threads that seem perfect but are 6 years old.
   
   For brand new accounts looking to sign up for AdSense:
   
   1. How many hubs is it recommended to have?
   1b. Is this just estimated? Is there any negative data that this is based on, e.g. someone applying and being denied with 5 hubs, 8 hubs, 20 hubs?
   1c. Do pageviews count at all, are they combined in total across one's hubs, or do they just consider the total hubs and the content?
   
   2. How much length of time should our hubs have aged? I've seen a lot of different answers to this.
   2b. Again, is this just an estimate based on what works or does anyone know of recent attempts that didn't work and were rejected due to lack of "maturation" of their hubs?
   2c. Is the age of the oldest hubs, all your hubs (each must be a month old to count, etc), an average?

      I got mine after 15 hubs and 5 weeks. I'm not sure about the page views though...

                     Not yet. Thinking ahead too much. I published 5 working one at a time in a week and a half and now for some reason I seem to be writing my next 7 all at once over the past 3 weeks (which have been more busy for me in general).  Hope to have 3 a week until I hit 15 though... By then my oldest will be ~2.5 months old. Thanks!

      1. How many hubs is it recommended to have? Adsense is continually raising the bar.  Though their official advice suggests around 10 Hubs, recent feedback from new Hubbers suggests you should have at least 15, and preferably 20 to be on the safe side.
      
      1b. Is this just estimated? Is there any negative data that this is based on, e.g. someone applying and being denied with 5 hubs, 8 hubs, 20 hubs? Yes, it is based on people being denied with lower numbers.
      
      1c. Do pageviews count at all, are they combined in total across one's hubs, or do they just consider the total hubs and the content?No, pageviews are irrelevant
      
      2. How much length of time should our hubs have aged? I've seen a lot of different answers to this. You need at least one Hub that's at least a month old.   If you are in certain countries on the restricted list, that goes up to six months
      
      2b. Again, is this just an estimate based on what works or does anyone know of recent attempts that didn't work and were rejected due to lack of "maturation" of their hubs?Yes, based on people being rejected with more than 20 Hubs but less than a month's membership.
      
      2c. Is the age of the oldest hubs, all your hubs (each must be a month old to count, etc), an average? It's the age of your oldest piece, the age of the rest doesn't matter.

   Hi Jeramey.
   
   I am no expert on the mysteries of AdSense, all I can do is tell you how I did it.
   
   Personally, I waited until I had ten Hubs published and featured, as well as a few quality posts on my own website.
   
   It was four working days between applying for AdSense and being approved.

   I was approved with 8 hubs after 4 weeks. I think it all depends on the length and quality of the writing.
   
   Having older hubs is of course beneficial and the total number of hubs makes it easier to reach their internal requirements. I got denied twice before being accepted.

      Approximately how long ago was your information from? Just making sure it's all still applicable. I tend to write much longer hubs, and would love to get it up and running before I have 15.

   I joined hubpages 5 weeks ago and got accepted about a day ago, with 23 hubs, the oldest was a little more than a month ago, and the newest was published and featured yesterday. Don't know if it has to do anything with views or comments though; I didn't have that many.
