How long does it take for a niche-site submission to get a response?

I find that the time period is usually under a week. Once I had one go with no response for 3 weeks. Finally, I emailed the team and the next day it was approved.  My last submission has gone 10 days without a response. What is your experience with this?

Hubs that I submit to niche sites are usually approved and moved within a few days.  I have had a few that the editors thought needed some editing.  They took about a week to get a response.

If I get a boiler-plate email asking for changes, I count that as a response. Sometimes I get those email s. and sometimes the editor makes a few minor changes which I have to review and tacitly approve, and sometimes they are simply approved as is.  But this time, I have had no response for 10 days.

Which site did you submit to, Catherine? It can depend on the number of submissions the site receives. LetterPile, for example, gets the most submissions (more than twice the amount the next largest site receives) and may take significantly longer.

Submitted one 5 weeks ago and another 2 weeks later and still no response. Yeah, they seem to take long to look into them! Quite discouraging! sad

Mine have taken about 1 week on average, now the latest is at 6 days so I'll see. Maybe they're taking longer now. I have three that were edited but still not moved and it's been about 8 days for one of them now.

That reminds me. I had one that was selected by an editor. The editor asked for changes. I made the changes and I never heard back and it was never moved. My attempts to ask about the status were never answered. That was a year ago. I just forgot about it.

Although I have submitted a few of my featured articles in recent times  to different niche sites unfortunately not a single write up has since been approved. Neither I have been intimated about their fate.Would any body please let me know the most suitable sites for my much acclaimed hubs like SON MAMA AND THE CHARM OF REAL INDIA or THE LOST TRIBES?

After you make the changes, you have to re-submit (or in this case, submit) the hub to the niche site.  The editors don't look to see if changes were made.

Roses:I just remembered. When you get a request for changes, it doesn't matter if I an editor discovered your hub or you submitted, as soon as you do the edit and then click publish, you are done. It usually goes directly to the niche site or sometime the editor makes a minor change and then it goes to the niche site.  At least that is my impression of how it works.

I'm pretty sure you have to resubmit.

Just to follow up on your advice I tried to resubmit. I got a message saying my two weeks were not up yet. When an editor selects your hub, you do not get that message.

Of course months have gone by, but I'm pretty sure I did resubmit (or I did whatever the email told me to do) after I made the changes when I first got the email asking me to make changes.

All I can think is that the editor was not satisfied with my changes and never bothered to tell me. Either that or it fell through the cracks.

I was thinking of when a hub gets snipped or an editor makes a few minor changes to a hub I have not submitted for a niche site. It is done on the editor's initiative. In that case, all a hubber has to do is click the link in the email notification to see the changes the editor made and then it is automatically moved.

Two separate processes and I might have gotten them a little muddled..

Also, don't rely on an email to tell if something was selected. I had one or two picked with no email sent.

I have never had a hub moved to a niche site without getting a notification If I am asked to make changes to a hub, I check every day after I make the changes to see if the url has been changed.

Sometimes I just check to see if the url has changed. But I've never seen the url change unless I also received an email saying it was selected for the niche site.
