I dusted off my little used graphics table last night, updated the drivers, and installed it on the laptop which I mostly use for the net these days.

I'd forgotten how good it was to use the graphics tablet to navigate the web. I dislke the mouse, and absolutely HATE using the touchpad.

The graphics tablet has this pencil type thing which replaces the mouse, and a scroll wheel for scrolling up and down. You can also write characters in freehand, which are converted to computer characters. (but I must admit that typing on the keyboard is quicker)

    I have a VIACOM Graphire 4. (EDIT it's a WACOM)
    It's magic.

If you've never used one of these thingies for the internet, give it a try. you'll probably love it.

    Cheers,
    Eric G.

I used to use my graphics tablet for the same sort of thing, but then my brother stole it back.

I smiled at this Anti. It wasn't actually yours then, was it? Your brother reclaimed what was his wink

And nice one Eric. I've never used one. I favour the mouse but perhaps I should try a graphics pad out. I like technology. The fact that I can't work a lot of if does not reduce my fascination smile

Would love to pick up a graphic tablet... I'm not crazy about this touchpad at all.

I bought a Wacom graphics tablet quite a while ago. And my wife stole it off me.

IDK. Never tried a tablet. I am pretty happy with a good mouse. Don't like touchpad, but can live with it for some time if needed. What really drives me nuts is IBM-style stick, that is on my wife's work notebook. Grrrrrr... smile

Is that the thing right in the middle of the keys?

We used to call that a clit-mouse smile

P.S. LOVING my Wacom pen interface. Much more natural and intuitive than a mouse or trackpad.
        cheers, Eric G.

lol Eric. You're on form. Or maybe not. No man knows where that is so I doubt most guys have even noticed the fact that there may be one straight in front of their ... face wink

How many times did that person post that? Like seven times?!

Please don't stalk me. I haven't done anything wrong! I promise! We were only talking about mice and graphics tablets!

Yes, I love my ol' Intuos 2 Wacom tablet. I don't do digital artwork anymore so I don't use it much, but I did enjoy using the pen as a mouse. I need to order some new tips, hmm.
