I'm missing something...

   I've been tweaking my hubs based on information I've found in these forums, and in some of the hubs around here. I feel like most of them are better than they were when I started (which may not be saying much). But about half of them are still scoring below 74, which I understand to be the threshold where Google will actually take notice, and I'm only getting about 20-25 hits a day total among 8 hubs.
   
   If some of you would take look at some of my hubs and let me know what I'm doing wrong, or what I could do better, I would very much appreciate it.

      Your hubscore has nothing to do with your hub getting ranked or indexed by Google -- and I don't know whether any of your hubs are or not.
      
      This is how I understand it. Google has to first find you, and it does that through links -- internal or external. The little Google bots roam around all day following link after link after link, and that's how they find new content. When they find you, if they think you're worth it, they 'index' you which just means they've made note that your hub exists.
      
      Whether you 'rank' or how highly you will rank (where you fall in the search results) or not also depends on internal and external links as well as choosing keywords that you can go up against the competition for them and win, and keyword placement (in the URL, title, tags, etc.).

   What tweaks have you done? And are all your hubs indexed? There's a difference between ranked and indexed.

      I've adjusted keywords on some, added photos, or rearranged text on others. How do I know if they've been indexed?

   Your religious Hubs quote from the scriptures quite a bit - those quotes will obviously appear all over the internet so your Hubs could be regarded as "duplicate" which will really harm your score.
   
   You can either cut down on the quotes or link to the quotes somewhere else instead of actually reproducing them.  However, fact is that your religious Hubs are less likely to be money-makers:  I wouldn't worry too much about them , and focus instead on developing your home-schooling series which has far more potential.

   Also your Hubber score needs to be 74 and up and actually your hubs only need to be either 40 or 50.  Lots of people make this mistake.

   Great advice Marisa, thank you. I'm working on the table of contents idea now, as well as the series on schooling.

   That last reply was helpful to me, a newbee who is terrified of all the new terminology. Now I know what "Indexed" means. Still not sure about how to organise my hubs into content pages, how do you do that? So far I've learned the following jargon if any of you are even more ignorant than I am:
   
   ppc = pay per click
   cpm = cost per thousand impressions
   NDA = Non Disclosure Agreement
   
   My hubs could do with some useful criticism too I'm sure. Could some of you please have a look?
