Google AdSense, TOS, and PTC sites

   Hi all,
   
   I tried finding my answer elsewhere with no luck so I figured I'd see if anyone here knows the answer. I was thinking of advertising one of my hubs with a Paid To Click site...
   a) does HubPages allow that?
   b) does Google AdSense allow that?
   
   I saw on one of the other forum topics that you couldn't use traffic exchanges (which I didn't know - or failed to read) with AdSense, so I was wondering if a PTC site would be considered similar to a traffic exchange in Google's eyes?
   
   Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!

      I think this hubpages is enough for you to advertise your hub.

         Belief, I'd email the team at hubpages to find out.
         
         If PTC is similar to Adwords, it shouldn't be a problem. If it leans more towards the reputation of traffic exchange then avoid it, which you would have anyway
         
         It would be good to have a hub staffer drop by and make a statement.

            I should have made myself more clear. Just assuming the worst, and that you're not familiar with PTC, the type of PTC site I would like to use is clixsense.com or other similar ones. Users are paid to click on ads there - they would get paid a few cents to read my add, which takes them to my website. So it makes me wonder if that may be against Google AdSense Policy since it resembles (in my mind) a traffic exchange.

   Hubpages doesn't penalize traffic exchange sites, or link farms as they are affectionately known, Google does.
   
   It's changed it's algorithm to basically IGNORE links from those sites, so I'd stay far, far, away.

   Yes, it is against Adsense TOS if you pay somebody to click your ads.

   I get what the OP is talking about - it's not about paying people to click your google ads.
   
   It's about having a link posted through a site like traffic swarm or traffic splash or whatever, and paying for a spot in ad rotations through text links and banners there.  Surfing sites like this tend to yield a HORRIBLE return rate, though.  For instance, I tried a site we'll call Busy.
   
   I paid 4.99 for 10,000 hits on banner ads and text ads, all of which lead to my blog.  Do you know how many clicks I got? Seven.  No ad clicks, either, so no return on my money. 
   
   Now, I suppose if I did something like put that money toward a red bull or two so I could write more hubs - it'd have been a wiser investment.

      Mischa, yes I do generally agree those types of sites are garbage traffic, but the hub I want to redirect to is one about telecommuting. And so, therefore, I think if people are willing to accept 10 cents a click (which will then allow them to view my hub or webpage) in order to make money online, why wouldn't they be interested in a hub/site that shows them where to find real online jobs? Just my thinking....

   Yeah, it is pretty garbage.  Between free credits for surfing and my purchased credits I converted to 28,000 "hits" but all totaled I got 9 clicks over four months.  It's -crap-.

   You always can give it a try Just set daily limit really low, like a few bucks, and be ready to cut you loses short... The main idea is you should make MORE than spend...

      Yes, I know, I've already learned that the hard way in the past. Right now everything I do with HubPages is profit since it didn't cost anything to set it up!
