It doesn't appear that you've completely activated your AdSense account on HubPages:

      http://hubpages.com/my/affiliate

Until it says "Active" next to Google, you won't make any money at all from AdSense.  You should have received an email from Google directly, with instructions on how to complete your signup.  If you didn't or can't locate it, this would be a good place to start:

      https://www.google.com/adsense/account-access

You'll need to login to your account, and approve access for "www.hubpages.com".  If you don't have an AdSense login that works, then start here:

      https://www.google.com/adsense/support/

You may need to contact google directly to sort things out, in that case.

Xeniba, patience!   I earned practically nothing from HubPages for my first two or three months, even though I built up to over 50 Hubs during that time.  Most people seem to have the same experience - it takes time to start earning.

I hate to ask the obvious, but if you look at your Adsense account, do you see about the same number of hits?  If not then your Adsense affiliate information may not be set up right.

The other thing to check, when you set the hub up, did you put the Ads level at high?  The reason I ask is that your hub seems to have just a couple of ads at the top, and then nothing until the bottom, and it's a very long hub.  It may be that if it is just one long text module, you may want to break it up into 2 or 3 to give HP a place to insert ads in the middle.  It would also improve the visual appeal of your hub to break it up and have some headers.  You already have 7 or 8 sections, just use those to break it up.Ther's no harm in using that many text modules.

    My 2 cents worth.

Maybe WoW players are not inclined to click on ads?

Good that you are getting so many hits. My hubpages hits pale in comparison. So far only made less then $1.

You only have 2 hubs neither of which really seem to be buying hubs : you need to write on subjects which encourage visitors who want to purchase something

It means you have to break your writing into several pieces. You can do this by creating more text capsules. After that, you can insert anyhing (pictures, ads) between the text capsules.

I'm not that familiar with Triond, but this might give you some idea of the relative traffic difference between the two sites.  In general, on HubPages you can expect to make anywhere from $2-5 for every thousand times your hubs are viewed.

That's Triond's traffic.Light green is Hubpages global and dark green is hubpages US.

          I know wink big_smile

Though I thought at first that the US HP traffic was trionds (before I saw the legend at the bottom) and I thought 'wow, they're not doing that badly". But then I noticed that little worm crawling across the bottom there.

He looks like a lonely little fella.

I thought the exact same thing!  I was like "wow, it's interesting how close the traffic peaks and valleys are between the two sit--.... wait a second.  What is that unambitious blue snake doing at the bottom of this graph?  OOOH"

I've been waiting for my adsense to activate as well. When I try to log in to adsense now it says I should have a response within a week, but initially I thought it said 1-2 days. I have ads on my hubs, though. Has it taken anyone else more than a couple of days to receive approval?

  13. pauldeeds profile imageSTAFF
    pauldeedsposted 15 years ago

I've heard of cases where it has taken a week or more, but typically it is faster than that.  If you don't hear from them for a few more days you might try following up with their support people.  In the big scheme of things, a few days either way isn't going to have a significant impact on your long term earnings.

LOL...I'm absolutely sure that is true--I have a lot to learn!

Thank you for the quick response, Paul! I'll check with adsense in a couple of days.

I write at Triond occasionally. I have a couple of thousand views and have earned $2.14. So far, I've earned at least 3 times that at Hubpages so far, and I only have around 1,400 views.

People need to click on the ad's for you to make some money. Either they are not clicking the ad's on this hub or you have setup adsense wrong.
