Can some help me with adsense

   I am totally new to hubpages and google adsense as well.Itz been 5 days since I have my adsense running on my hubs and I have earned 0.72$.I know it is pathetic and I really want to improve.But the problem is I dont seem to be generating traffic for my hubs.I have joined many social bookmarking sites also but I dont seem to be getting any traffic from them.And also When i check my adsense account sometimes it says your estimated ecpm earning is 22.96$ or something like that but at the end of the day I don't get anything.I know some of the question may sound very dumb but please help.

   I;m new to this stuff too and my adsense isnt making much yet , but it takes time and a ton of effort before you see any real results , its not instant thats for sure , boy Isure wish it was

   I also wish I could see some visible results instantly.But I know you never get anything for free and I will need to work hard.But I just want to know whether my efforts are in the right direction.

   It takes a long time to build up a good foundation of quality hubs from which to earn. It takes a lot of work too. I have found that even when someone clicks a link it doesn't add up to much and other times its enough to make me happy. This comes down to the keywords used and the value of the ads clicked, there are loads of hubs that give great advice on making sure your ads are of a decent value. There are a few with good ideas for ways to increase the traffic to your pages too and some of it is just down to time. The best back link is one that happens organically and organic back linking takes time. My advice is to read some of the hubs here about choosing keywords and try to focus on your writing not on your earnings. You have done very well for how long you have been here and how many hubs you have, I took months to start seeing any clicks

   Thanks kirstenblog for the sound advice and also for making me feel better.I will try to read and absorb as much information I can get on keywords and backlinking.Also can you suggest me some good hubs on keywords,adsense and backlinking.Also I am planning to read hubs by relache,sunforged,ryankett,darkside and livewithrichard,as someone mention that they have loads of knowledge relating to adsense and affiliate marketing.I hope that will be enough but if you come across some good hub on this topic please do sugggest.

      Mark Knowles also has some good hubs to check out. He can raise peoples hackles here on the forums and he knows his stuff.

   There is quite a bit of information on this topic.  I recently posted a hub on how to get HubPages to work for you.  I suggest searching around the site - hubs and forums and working on a plan.  My three steps to success are.
   1. Cover a topic that you know about deeply - several hubs where each one is very specific.
   2. Pick a good title for you hub.  Starting Hubs with "How To" is a basic technique that works well.
   3.  Interlink your Hubs together that are on the same topic.
   
   I think to get educated and over the hump, it takes several hubs (30 - 50).  Once you do it, you will learn how to make each Hub more successful.

   You are already doing quite well considering, better than I did when I first got going...hubpages is designed for long term success...it is like building any kind of business it can take awhile! Welcome to hubpages, check out the forms and help sections and ABOVE ALL HAVE FUN..this can be a really cool place.

   Unfortunately, i have not been able to compound these hubs into the directory hub or site that I have planned yet.

    Google did scan one of my pages in a matter of hours.  That proves that if you Develop Excellence by following the advice of others here, you will develop your business.
    
    All the gurus have been saying to start using social book marking. 
    All my stats show exactly what yours have told you, there is nothing coming from that source that you don't bribe into coming to the site you put up, be it here, there, or elsewhere.  As in anything, if you strike oil you will get rich very rapidly because the numbers really are there.
    
    I always shoot for long term success.  One of my pages is 12 years old and still brings in 1-300 visitors per day.  My pay from that one page is usually $1,000 per month or more, once $3,000  One is 9 years old and still brings in almost 1,000 visitors per day.  So far it isn't making me anything to talk about, however last month I slapped in a form to pick up email addresses and I now have over 13,000 opt-ins.  I don't know what to do with them, but I have got them, and there are still more coming in every day now.
    
    The biggest problem with the web is: if you get too successful, someone will come in and lift what you have, OR, some company will step in and start providing the same service as you do, only much better.
    
    Perhaps, if you think of Hub Pages as a confederation you can see that interlocking links with others here will make your stats much stronger, but usually only if others here can see your shoulder to the wheel.  Be helpful, be generous, be kind; that's the essence of my advice.
