I just checked my Google AdSense and I'm $0.26 over the threshold!  This is the fastest I've made payout so far and I'm so glad since Amazon has been a real bummer since the beginning of the year.  I started 8 months ago and my first and second payouts were at three months each, this one is at two months - Yay!

It sure would be nice to get a payout every month ... I probably need twice as many hubs for that, though!

So to anyone who's discouraged, I'm no Nelle, but I'm makin' (some) money!  This will get deposited right before my Disney trip - perfect timing!

Lily, you don't need to write more Hubs.  It's just the way it happens - if you've got good Hubs, they earn more the older they get.  So your next payout could well be in a month!

Of course, if you write more Hubs you'll earn even more...

Well you're at 153 hubs and have 3 payouts in 8 months, so I think you're on your way to monthly payouts pretty quickly. It'll feel really good when the older hubs just start to produce clicks everyday. At first you can't believe it's really happening.

Hi Nelle!  I'd love to see that happening!  I really need to go back to tweak some of my older hubs and I need to do more backlinking and learn how to use Analytics to help the process - but I always feel more like creating new hubs than doing all that other stuff.  Guess I can be lazy at times!

I keep thinking that I want to take a break and lay off of the computer for a while, but I am finding that I am addicted to HP!  I need to put myself on a rigid schedule at the very minimum!

Hi Lily, I was watching PBS special on how our minds work a few days ago. And they said that when we make money it stimulates the same part of our brain that likes cocaine - so making money is addictive. They used it as an explanation of why stock brokers and investment guys run amok sometimes.

So I do think HP is truly addictive. I know I have to force myself to go out for walks, be social, clean the house - or I'd just sit here in my pjs all day and work online.

I definitely believe that, Nelle.  Greed can do terrible things to stupid  - and smart - people, too!  The one thing I don't like to do is break it down to how much I'm making per hour because it's almost not worth putting in the time (it's even embarassing!), but every extra dollar means something to me as a stay at home mom with a mountain of debt to overcome, so I'll keep on trudging along...

...hopefully, like Marisa and you said, it'll just start to happen with time, even if I don'ty write any more hubs (yeah, right!)

Nice job, Lily.  What a nice feeling, huh?  I've never been to Disney, have a great time.  Let us know how it was.

Yes, it is a nice feeling, Wordscribe, thank you.  Yes, I promised my oldest daughter a while ago that we'd go to Disney World for her 5th birthday and she did not let me forget!  We are within driving distance (a few hours), so I was able to budget for it, thank goodness!

We're having breakfast in the castle at Cinderella's Royal Table on her birthday morning and then dinner that night with more princesses - I'm so excited to take them (my other daughter is 3) I can't hardly wait!  It's going to be princess overload for my poor hubbie!

Sorry, I hijacked my own thread there!

You're going to have so much fun!  I love doing girly stuff with my 2 girls!  Your husband is definitely going to be low in testosterone after this adventure.  I'd love to be within driving distance, how great would that be?

What an awesome birthday present for her.  They are a perfect age right now, too.  Hopefully meltdowns will be at a minimum.  Anyway, have a safe and wonderful trip, Lily!

Thanks, Wordscribe!  I, too, hope the meltdown are at a minimum - we'll do our best to pace everything just right.  We're staying "on campus" not far from the entrance so it'll be easy to take a break if they need a nap.  I'm sure there will be a hub or two after our return!

          @ Emievil - thank you!!

Congrats Lily Rose and I'm bumping this up for other hubbers to see smile.
