Hi.
So, I got an Adsense account, linked it to Hubpages.
Wrote a page, allowed Adsense.. I think I used Medium setting.
The ads show up on my page.
I have 60 views.
When I check my Adsense REPORT, it shows 16 Page Impressions only??
I can't figure why.
I checked ACCOUNT ACCESS in Adsense and it shows www.hubpages.com
**I went back and checked the EMAIL I got after signing up for Adsense, and it says Congrats...you'll soon see ads on --->>
AND IT LISTS MY "PROFILE PAGE" ON HUBPAGES
Is this wrong?
I'm so confused...
Thanks
Set your ads to High, I don't even know why they offer the "medium" option. I'm not sure whether 'medium' means fewer ads or just that your ads get served less often - if it's the latter, that would explain why you have fewer Adsense impressions than actual.
It's possible the ads were public service ads, which would generate 0 income.
UPDATE:
So, I just checked and it increased a couple, AND there are 2 CLICKS LISTED, BUT NOW... NO EARNINGS?
I Thought CLICKS = Earning ?
Not sure on this but -
Adsense will not show the visits to your hub that happend before you signed up with Adsense. i.e. the ones from the time you published your hub until you activated you Adsense account.
I also often find that the stats. on HubPages do not match the stats. on Adsense.
If you want to check on stats. accurately for future hubs sign up for a Google analytics account it gives you far more detailed info.
Hope that helps for now. Someone with more technical knowledge and experience will be able to give you further info.
Hi, I can't throw any light on this either - I thought maybe it was due to the split between hubpages and hubber for adsense revenue but would welcome further insight from someone 'in the know' - thanks for raising this issue.
The 60/40 split should not be the culprit. You do not see the clicks attributed to HubPages portion of the time.
Hi-
I know it's frustrating.
I show 2 clicks, and no revenue... that doesn't seem fair.
Might be a couple pennies, but it should still be working.
some clicks are only worth a penny..maybe some aren't worth anything, I don't know, I would wait and see if you get anymore
2 clicks in only 60 views , especially considering its probably all hubpages viewers in 7 days is quite amazing!
If a click earns you 0 cents, its because adsense considered it an invalid or fraudulent click
Did you go, hmm...why isnt this working and then click your own ad?
And you will see a 60% difference between views that HubStats record and what adsense records - even then the math doesnt add up with your stated figures - but they will never match.
Seems like everything is fine - just working on getting a few hundred thousand more visitors
I always thought the difference in stats between hubpages and google is that google discount your own views. You have to open your own hub anytime anyone comments, don't you? So you probably look at your own more than you realise.
Also, I sometimes get clicks with no payment. I assume they are because someone clicked and shut it off immediately, else it was a really low value or free advert.
Hub pages stats do count your own views and any time ads are displayed on your hubs they will be attributed to either you or hubpages.
As mentioned by others, the numbers are never going to match so don't get too worked up over it.
Zero value clicks occur so get used to them. Anything that the google algorithm deems as suspicious will not be paid (and will not be charged to the advertiser) The system is not perfect so you will miss out every so often.
Click your own ads and your account will be permanently cancelled.
Forget about it for now and Sunforged says: worry about the traffic and the earnings will come.
Thanks kindly-
Though, it does seem Hubpages does not record my page views. I check the source of my views and you have to do that from the article page itself. And it never seems to count my view (which i prefer)
That not normal?
Hubpages stats are not really that accurate, you might want to link up your Google Analytics account.
You might also want to read up on what Sunforged wrote, if you have been commiting click fraud it might be a good idea to stop asap, you will get caught, and you will be banned!
It won't show your views separately in the "source" section. You'll notice it says "not all views have a discernible source".
There's a time lapse before your own views show - have you taken that into consideration?
I seemed to be getting steady clicks that have increased over time and then for the past ten days I have received 0 clicks., Is that a normal variance or is it something to worry about?

I visited my adsense account to find I am earning no money on my clicks. I followed the instructions to access and authorize in account settings, but once again, they are refusing to accept my URL https://.emsaenz.hubpages.com. these people are stealing my revenue. did this happen to anybody else?

Hello everyone!I'm having a little problem with my earnings here. I did everything right, following all the steps in the instructions about how to integrate my adsense account with the HubPages.Sometimes, in my earning's report, I see the hubpages appearing as it had a click, but it don't show it,...

Because of some technical problems with the Google AdSense API, since Thursday evening you can not associate or create a new Google AdSense account through the HubPages Affiliate Settings Page. If you try, the error you see will say an internal error occurred, which indicates a problem in...

Hopefully someone from Hubpages HQ can look into this.I believe that those of us that are using a hosted account with Adsense are not getting any ad revenue on impressions from the niche sites.I base this on the fact that my daily impressions on Hubpages vs Adsense differ by a factor of about 100....

I've joined hubpages last month because of all the words spreading around about it and since then I've created about 50 hubs all spread out over several accounts. Now I've targeted long tail keywords for my hubs with average CPC of 2$ and about 1000 hits per day. My hubs are ranking well and I'm...
