I wish birther lawyer Orly Taitz (mentioned in the article) was a hubber. She'd be a lot more entertaining, plus as a lawyer (from correspondence law school, only valid in the state of California), a real estate agent, and a dentist she has a wealth of knowledge to write hubs about.

    Oh no.....not the "Taitz"....

She is the posterlady for birther lunacy everywhere...and she had the gall to run for Attorney General here in California...

If elected, I guarantee the first thing she would have done was use our meager state resources to launch her misguided battle against the President...

And I thought those conservatives were interested in fiscal responsibility?

Apparently not, especially based on the millions wasted through Taitz's variety of birther lawsuits....all of which failed miserably (though her chain email, which I have hubbed about, tried to state otherwise)...  She is a liar and a fraud...  Something tells me, though, that if she had run in Arizona, she may have won...and as she wasted tax money on her ridiculous schemes ways to blame financial woes on "undocumented" would have intensified...

There you go again! you have one thing that you focus on! OK she is a joke but that does not mean everything is false. again your putting your spin on things and saying she WOULD SPEND MONEY TO BATTLE OBAMA. which is not true! your spin on it! what about the millions spent from Obama to not just show a simple LONG-FORM? why not just show the dam thing? I personally believe he probably is a citizen but he is definitely hiding something to go through all that trouble not to just show a simple LONG-FORM! maybe he never changed his name back legally? maybe he received college money saying he was a foreign student? I do not know but why not be HONEST? is this not logical questions? again I see you have much time to keep writing posts but you for some strange reason do not want to get into the Reverend Wright issue that OUR president went to a Anti-American Church for 20 years dedicated a book to him and then denied he ever heard him preach this way. Again if he was honest about it and came out and said he doesn't believe the way Wright thinks then I would be fine with it. not saying I would vote for him because anybody that goes to a church for 20 years and dedicates a book to him does not deserve to be the president of the USA. that is a conflict of interest. lets see how you twist my words this time!

      1. I am DB Cooper profile image62
I am DB Cooperposted 13 years agoin reply to this

You do realize Taitz is the one most often representing the birther movement in court, don't you? She can practice in California and before the Supreme Court, but she'd have to go to a real law school before she can practice anywhere else. Since the Supreme Court has already rejected her case, I don't think any of these lawsuits are going anywhere fast.

"not saying I would vote for him because anybody that goes to a church for 20 years and dedicates a book to him does not deserve to be the president of the USA. that is a conflict of interest."

That term, "conflict of interest" -- it doesn't mean what you think it does. Anti-American is a matter of opinion. Remember, when you say Reverend Wright preached anti-American ideas to Obama for 20 years, you're also saying Reverend Wright lived in this country he supposedly hates for 20 years. He was a US Marine, and after that he was in the US Navy. During his career as a Baptist minister, he has often opposed certain government policies. He was quite outspoken with his points of contention. That does not make him anti-American. It just means his idea of improving America is different than yours.

DB i see your point. very good post and your right wrong words.
but I still believe that because of this and Obama not admitting he heard these views and was there for 20 years and dedicated a book to him shows he is an honest man and I do not agree with those views. Does this make me wrong? also someone can live here and still hate the USA. I do see your point and thank you.

    Danny....you are very predictable...

Are you the Taitz defender now?

    If so, it says alot...

I have done my homework on her, and my opinion is my own...if you don't that is fine...

Her motives are quite clear...and she would have done much more than find ways to waste money...

I did live in California when I first got married back in 86 wife got pregnant and was home sick so after 9 months came back to NY. My second son lives in Glendale. After he graduated from Emerson he has a job in TV and my wife and I have been there numerous times the last few years. that state is so messed up it isn't even funny. again liberal/socialist run it what do you expect? just like NY. when I lived there in 86 I lived in Diamond Bar.
remember Nancy we have to pass it to see what is in it? or food-stamps are the biggest bang for the buck? they are on youtube in her own words..look it up! oh wait in due time ...right? lmao please See how I answered your questions, try doing the same.

Yes yes...divert to "maybe Obama took foreign money while in school"... Hence drawing the conclusion that he is under the influence of Muslims...directly or indirectly...

You claim that Taitz would not spend money to go after Obama if she had been elected to office....  Do you know her?

I don't know why you would even bring this stuff up, and it does come off as a defense...especially when you put your words in capital letters....

Your knowledge of California and Los Angeles is severely flawed..

You may have a son in Glendale, but that hasn't benefitted you in terms of our history...

My family has lived here for over 100 years...I use that perspective, along with other sources, to reach my conclusions...

I remember the blue chip stamps that my parents used to buy the food, gas, and clothes that kept my family off food stamps...

    Remember those?

I recall the many job opportunities for the multitude of youth graduating LAUSD schools...whether in the numerous mom and pop stores or at gas stations as attendants...

I look at the mountains ringing my neighborhood, and remember when it was wildland...and now it is nothing but homes....My small community has private enterprised through land development into a city of over 70,000 people....in a small corner of the San Fernando Valley.... A suburb that has the population of a city in its own right...with an infrastracture completely dependent on the hub of Los Angeles..

What's really interesting is that just above these tightly packed residences sets a dam...holding back quite a bit of water...  Where those homes are used to be considered a drainage area in case the dam ever broke...

What happens to them now?  Who shaped the policies that changed the classification and ownership of this land?

Who drives these ventures? Who draws in the new residents?  What is the purpose behind this creation, the good of people to live in homes or developments, or to make as much money as possible through shifting populations around?

What do you know of Lakewood, near Long Beach?  How is this community relevant to problems we are seeing here in California, as well as the United States?  Does anything related to Lakewood fit into actual American foreign policy?

Real questions Danny.....does your non-liberal educated mind have responses?

Or is it all about some churchman somewhere?

    1. DannyMaio profile image60
DannyMaioposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Again your insinuating that Muslim helped Obama, I did not say that! I just said I feel he is hiding something to go through all that trouble to not show 100% with a simple Long-form. In one of his books he writes that he found his birth certificate! so why not show it? These are valid points whether you want to agree or not and then when he stated that he did not hear Wright speak this way after being in that church for 20 years and he dedicated the book to him is an insult to any person with a brain.

I also have family that lived there for 30-40 years not as long as your family but still long enough. My family came here from Italy in the 50's and the cold weather was too much for my grandmother so they went to California. My father married and I was born in the 60's and he stayed in NY. when I grew up we struggled and made fun of in school because I did not have the designer clothes the others have. we hate rice with cut up hot dogs for meat. pasta almost every other night. I do know what it is to be poor! but this great country gives us opportunities to be better. I want to help people but not make them dependent on the government. I understand unfortunate things happen and we should have things in place to help but not to enable. that is why I'm a democrat. you do know that when the unemployment benefits were 26 weeks the majority of the people got jobs from the 20-24 week! and now when they extended it the same thing happened just before it was about to end miraculously they found jobs. people abuse the system and make it hard for people who actually need it. is that fair? how about the people i see using the EBT9Food-stamp) card to buy food then get into a new car. is this right? your heart is probably in the right place but you are not seeing everything clearly. as you get older hopefully you will be successful and realize how a lot of things hurt people instead of helping.

I just know Obama is hiding something and I want it to come out. I do not know if he never legally changed his name back after Indonesia? if he received foreign aide? something smells and I truly do not know why he is going through all this BS instead of just showing his LongForm which he claims in his book that he has. I know he is a liar because of Reverend Wright, how can someone go to a church for 20 years dedicate a book to him then say he never heard him speak like this? I just feel this is the Highest office in the country and Our commander and Chief should not feel like Reverend Wright does and believe the same thing.

I am not blaming Democrat or Republican.....I am going back to your conversation of capitalism and socialism...

As I said before...Democrats and Republicans can both be on the same side..especially when money is lining their pockets...

My family, on my father's side, is Armenian...some of the family came to the United States, settling in California, New York, Maine, and many other places...

But, other parts of my family suffered the ravages of the Ottoman Empire during the First World War...

When you mentioned Glendale, I thought about the huge percentage of my family who live there...

I asked the question regarding who alters the policies that enable the overdevelopment of communities....which in turn drives poverty, joblessness, and intense competition that creates gross inequality....and crime?

Is it any coincidence that the largest county in the nation, Los Angeles is also home to the largest jail system in the nation?

There then has to be a process to sweep up after the developers and salesmen have left town....because, unlike them, we live here...

It starts with Lakewood....  There's another great "liberal-communist-anti-American" named D.J. Waldie, and he wrote an outstanding book about the community in which he lives...Lakewood... Its called "The Holy Land: A Suburban Memoir"...check it out...  And no, no one is paying me to plug anything..

On a slightly tangented tone, I have noticed that many people like to criticize myself based off my perceived age...

I have never stated my birthdate....and I have no idea how people can figure out how old I am without such information, but also discrimination based off age is just as significant and real as discrimination towards gender, ethnicity, or religion..

Take responsibility for yourselves...your words betray your true intentions...

Concerning Taitz, I only have documented what Judge Carter published in his closing statements...

He sees her as a threat to the justice system...what she was proposing was literally a coup d'tat that went beyond just removing Obama....

I wrote a hub all about it, with the Judge's comments quoted word for word....

Then someone had the gall to put out that ridiculous chain email that claimed Taitz was the victor, and that the "good Marine" Judge Carter commended her commitment to her nation...

In reality, his comments were closer to committal to a mental institution..or at least to a meeting to determine whether or not she should be disbarred...

And then my uncle....blindly following the email...and even when I forward the proofs, including the judicial transcripts, he says I'm just brainwashed by the "liberal university" and that "my youth" drives my "lack" of insight...

The same kinds of nonsense that I hear from likeminded folks on Hubpages...  It's like they're all reading the same scripts....

      Here's one way they operate:

"Beginning on September 21, 1988, the Americans for Bush arm of the National Security Political Action Committee (NSPAC), under the auspices of Floyd Brown, began running a campaign ad entitled "Weekend Passes", using the Horton case to attack Dukakis. The ad was produced by media consultant Larry McCarthy, who had previously worked for Roger Ailes. After clearing the ad with television stations, McCarthy added a menacing mug shot of Horton, who is African American. He called the image "every suburban mother's greatest fear." Additionally, although Horton actually went by "William", the ad's creators changed his name to "Willie." The ad was run as an independent expenditure, separate from the Bush campaign, which claimed not to have had any role in its production.

On October 5, 1988, a day after the "Weekend Passes" ad was taken off the airwaves, was the date of the Bentsen-Quayle debate, the Bush campaign ran its own ad, "Revolving Door", which also attacked Dukakis over the weekend furlough program. While the advertisement did not mention Horton or feature his photograph, it depicted a variety of intimidating-looking men walking in and out of prison through a revolving door. The commercial was filmed at an actual state prison in Draper, Utah, but the individuals depicted — thirty in all, including three African Americans and two Hispanics, were all paid actors."

      They did the same kind of things with our black Gvr. here in MA.;
Portraying him as somehow dangerous. (Muffy did, that is--the staunch Repub)

Now they have a black president...who they also associate with muslims...and Ooooooh. The twin demons of their imagination!!!!

It's so cynical and grotesque. But you know--that's the Repub way! wink
