Hi,
Interesting question. I'm 48 years old now and it has only really be in the last year that I have really thought about what it would be like to be at 'death's doorstep'. Being a nurse and having looked after so many people who were dying and also the 'aftercare' you would think I would have thought more about my mortality than many. But this was not the case. But I think I accept death, along with many other health professionals, a bit more than some people?
Excellent question... I take it you've recently had this epiphany? If I remember, I had thought I felt it around my early twenties... 22 23ish? But I don't think I truly grasped it until later on, 27 or 28, maybe. It's still sinking in on some levels, but once it kicks in, it definitly has a profound effect on a person.

Do you think some modern-day clergy are just free-loaders?The parishioners pay everything for them or just about everything. The house they live in, the church, meals, utilities are all paid by the parishioners. They do not even pay taxes. It is all done by tithing and building...
