When things get crazy I try to leave the list behind and just focus on completing the top 1 or 2 priorities and put the rest aside.  It is time management and stress management all in one. smile

I'll review my activities before I go to bed every night.  Double check whether I'll be able to carry on according to the schedule or any changes to be made in last minutes.  I prefer to plan my activities in advance so that I can work smoothly and aim to zero stress. wink

One method is having a SMART goal
    Specific
    Measurable
    Attainable
    Relevant
    Time-bound

Time management is a difficult thing to master. I am still in the process of learning to manage my time after all the years that I have lived. I do not manage my time my time manages me. I am shame to admit it,  of course, but it is true. As I go from day to day, I never know, for sure, what I will be facing. I usually have to "go with the flow." I have learned to live, fairly successfully, approaching life this way. I do not suggest this approach for everybody. However, it works for me. Of course, I have to have plans, for say, 50-60% of my workday, just to survive, but the 40% to 50% of the day that I just let happen allows me to handle emergencies and solve the many other problems that just happen "out of the blue" without my previous anticipation of them. I survive. And I manage to get most everything that needs to be done, done. So well and good. Regards, Dr. Haddox

I think the best way to manage your time is to set up a schedule. That way you know how you are spending most of you time.  Of course you must stick to your schedule . Don't forget to schedule is some free time. Of course if you're right brained like me scheduling anything is a tough thing to do.

I find a lot of people don't actually have too much to do and too little time; they just procrastinate and wonder why they "never have time" to do anything. It's about making time for things; as in working it into the schedule. Obviously one can only do so much, but when you follow through in a timely fashion with things you've put on the agenda, without bojangling or "saving it for later" or sitting on the couch looking into space for 20 minutes--then you can get a lot done.

The best way to manage your time is to let go of the illusion of time, and remember?  There really is no time, just the now and what we decide to do at that very moment.  smile
