you cn prevent fevers from catching fevers from wrapping yourself in warm clothes if cold and drinking lots of hot fluids. also make sure that you dont exhaust yourself, if you feel a lump in your throat immediatly take some cough syrup and slep.
during autum avoid bieng near plants and avoid pollen.
if you'r already suffering from fever and want to know how to cope, take plenty of rest, see a doctor if you can, have hot fluids, where i liv green tea wit a pinch of ginger and lemon is considered very good for fever.
