How do I thank some-one for trying to help me?

since he fell out with me and won't talk to me, this leaves a bad feeling within me; and though the error was my social gaff, I now feel like I don't want to hear, see him again because I felt he might've understood my intensions were different to how he took them, and my niavety due to my age and lack of life skills, abilities etc.  I once saw him as a great helper, I don't now know what to think or how to recover from being ostracised.

A note letting him know how you feel which includes your apology.  Write the note and re-read it the next day before you send it.  Remember, a note is good because it does not require the recipient to respond right away and you should not expect an immediate response.  Just be glad he knows you have regrets and be satisfied that you did everything you could.  Anne

Just say sorry, i was dumb and I have great regards for you, It is may be too late to say sorry if you delay doing  what can be done today. I have seen many a relationship being ruined because of pride. Dont let your ego take a ride over your good sense. I wish you the best. The Bible says "the humble shall inherit the earth'.
